Video game six is just plain ridiculous and does nothing to add to the maturity or "connection" to characters. It was laughable in the Witcher 3 and the game looks pretty good....it would be even more laughable with Beths character models.

Why is transgender tacked on to a six topic? That seems like an entirely different debate.

Actually the forum is rated PG-13 for some strange reason.

Yes, but that is what mods are for. Personally, I'l love to see any such scenes replaced with both partners doing silly dances, or playing table tennis. Something silly.

Either silly, or as nasty as it can get, now that I think about it. This fade to black nonsence is rather outdated. Better can be done. (but again, mods)

Not that strange really, since younger folks can buy the game over steam or from stores with advlt consent from parents / legal guardian etc. AFAIK. Plus, there is no law against younger people buying M rated games, since, strictly speaking it is a guideline. It is up to the parents to regulate what their kids can and should / should not see. UK has some of the strictest regulations on this topic tho, and some games are rated via movie ratings (which is punishable with fines and jail) while others are not, depending on rating category.

Meh, I'm impartial on six. Only if it is well-implemented and not implemented for the sake of being implemented. Honestly though, I don't think it would fit well in this type of game. It fits well enough for say Dragon Age, Witcher, and Mass Effect type games.

As for transgender - Sure. That adds variety of character. However, ONLY if it is also well-implemented and the character well-written and developed. Not a ''Hey, check how this trans character! This character is special and shows how inclusive we are!''. That is pandering and ruins any potential in-depth development for the character.

Basically it comes down to not every game represented on this forum is M rated. Rather than gate every single sub-forum in here with age restrictions (which would be a nightmare to moderate,) it's much less complicated to have a blanket age rating for the entire forum, based on the lowest appropriate age. This way every post has to adher to the same rules regardless of where in the forum it's posted, and we don't have to debate whether a post that is appropriate for Fallout 4 would also be equally appropriate in, say, the Fallout Shelter section.

I say yes to both as long as you have to seek it out. Otherwise it just seems like some contrived PC plug

This is Fallout. Don't be silly. It was an amorous indentured synth.

Uh, you realize that in the case of this topic it will be implemented by another party and perhaps in ways that are better off being done by a group that is not held accountable by a government, an interest group, or political party standing or organization with a financial interest at stake.

A couple of flame posts and inappropriate posts have been removed. Please remember that this is a 13 + forum. Keep your posts appropriate for that age group.

The "leave most of it to the imagination" fade-to-black will never be outdated. It's easier to implement than a graphical scene, and vastly easier to implement than a graphical scene that doesn't just end up being awkward and cringeworthy.

If we're talking about just Reddit, all I know for sure is that there are places where it's used unironically and places where it's used ironically.

six would add nothing of value to the game's quality. The implied six with romanced companions that we have now is perfectly fine.

As far as transgender characters go I don't care either way to be honest. If they add one that's cool, if they don't that's fine as well.

LOL... there is always this topic when Bethesda releases a game. The few games that do attempt some sort of 'love" scene invariably make me giggle like I am twelve because no matter what game, or what voice actors, it's always just awkward, some more so than others. (yeah, Jacob and Femshep, I am looking at you!) Having a player have some sort of "romance" option is fine, can open up dialog, make for interesting conflicts, or sidequests, whatever. But a fade to black is fine if you want to imply six between two pixel characters.

As for the "should there be transgender" in fallout 4, I know a bait topic when I see one. Honestly. *rollseyes*

*wanders off to go play the game*

I though the nv fade to black worked well, and would like to have it in game. With the romance stuff, and this not beefing there, it feels obviously avoided. "Hey, you're the love of my life, let's spoon (embrace)". But it's no biggie, and a tiny part of a huge, amazing game.

I've never seen a game that handled six in a tasteful way, definately NOT The Witcher or GTA.

So no. Definately not.

really? this is a 13+ forum for a game that is rated mature, I.E. 17+..........how does that make sense at all? And before you say "kids play it too" how does that make it right? I would deff. NOT let my 14 year old play FO4 or partake in this forum. Priorities need to be set here

Have a sixual element but I don't see any point in six-(cut)-scenes. That's just so ridiculously immature.

The forums encompass more than just Fallout. The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, in particular, is rated T.

Tough topic to answer: I'd say yes, but just the fade to black scenes because I don't see Bethesda doing a good job with it. In fact, I haven't seen it in a single video game where it didn't just seem embarrassing.

As for the transgender thing... what? Why is that even in the same topic as six?

I guess to answer it: Sure, why not? I'm all for equality, but it should be represented in appropriate numbers (I don't wanna see a transgender person in every location). Furthermore, I'm hesitant to even answer yes because it seems like video game companies are adding this stuff simply because they're afraid of bad publicity from certain groups.

Edit: Hold up, is this topic confusing transgender and transsixual? Because I'm not so sure transsixual makes any sense at all in the scenario.

As another moderator explained in an earlier post in this thread, this forum hosts several games with a T rating. It would be a nightmare to have some sections for mature over 18 and other sections for 13 and over. Also, it is not illegal in the US for minors to buy this game with parental consent and thus, we have many fans that are indeed under 18.

So the entire forum is for 13+ and is moderated as such. There is no reason six or most anything else can't be discussed in a mature yet appropriate manner.

This is in the beginning of our http://www.gamesas.com/topic/724862-forum-rules-and-general-information/:

Everyone is prompted to read and agree to follow the rules when joining so it really should be no surprise if you did that. :deal:
