sixual preference

Post » Wed Mar 09, 2011 12:23 pm

Vivec was polyamorous and his Buoyant Armigers were said to be his homosixual lovers (male OR female as Vivec was a hermaphrodite).

A Hlaalu councilman was openly bisixual and asked either male or female characters to undress for him in Morrowind.

During a Fighters Guild quest in Oblivion you find the journal of the Guildmaster's son, with comments about his homosixual affection for a bard in his military unit.
Wow, I never knew those. Thanks for the information. Those are things I never knew about Morrowind or Oblivion.

Really? I found them quickly enough. I may have an eye for that kind of thing, though. The unusual lore and dialogue of these games is part of what initially drew me in.

I only really "played" MW for reals for about three weeks when I first bought it in 2009. After that I got into modding and am putting off playing it seriously until I become a clinical lab scientist.

AFAIK that was for not for two different genders, but instead different questlines. He asks you to strip for the Hlaalu initiation, but a kiss to be made hortator. In both instances, I think it's the same dialogue for both male and female characters (although I believe the males also have a bribe option for the hortator questline).
What the heck s "AFAIK"?

I have a question, since different sixualities obviously exist, would it be too profound to have a bisixual werewolf?

And since we're on the taboo sixual stuff, after reading http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Lord_Jornibret%27s_Last_Dance, do you think there exists dirty limericks like "there once was a man from nantucket...."?

This is my first time reading http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:The_Lusty_Argonian_Maid and it's hilarious! Polish my spear. It's so big, it could take me all night. Freakin great, Bethesda! It's tiny little miniscule things like that in the game that just make it so memorable. :)

Falanu Hlaalu is a necrophiliac, I think I'd rather have homosixuality than THAT

You make it sound like homosixuality is the lesser of two evils.

Edit: vvv ;)

Mistress Therana was also partial to the ladies, IIRC.

I'm not sure if she was so much a man hating lisbian than a man hater in general. Some man haters are still hetero, or even asixual.

Heh, I guess so. I mentally correct everyone's bad grammar, spelling, and diction as I read most forums (very few people write English correctly all of the time), so I don't really see unnecessary acronyms as the worst offenders. :)

On topic: Er... I love the Elder Scrolls lore.

Necromancer?

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Falanu_Hlaalu

"The dialogue hints heavily that Falanu fled the province of Morrowind, or was exiled, and that she is a necrophiliac. Necrophilia would be considered an especially heinous crime by the Dunmer, whose culture values the remains and the spirits of their ancestors highly. House Hlaalu's influence in Morrowind and close ties with the Empire may have saved her from a worse fate."

I remember her asking about necromancy but never necrophilia. I think a better source than uespwiki is needed to confirm this.

edit: Well ok apparently alot of people saw necrophilia and not necromancy so I was mistaken I guess. I'll take my 20 lashings at your leisure.

"I'm the only alchemist in Skingrad. Not much business here, but I can't go back to Morrowind. It's just like anywhere else in the Empire. By the way... do you happen to know what the fine is here in Cyrodiil for necrophilia? Just asking."

(after the reply "Uh...excuse me?"): "Oh. Nothing. I was just wondering."
(after the reply "No idea"): "Thanks anyway."
(after the reply "Is it the first offense?"): "Let's assume 'no'."

(then after the reply "Then it's at least 500 gold."): "That's nothing compared to Morrowind. Thanks."

The other residents of Skingrad have their suspicions about Falanu, and will comment that "Maybe it's just me, but I find Falanu Hlaalu really odd. And I've seen him [sic] hanging around the graveyard with a strange smile on his [sic] face."

This is from UESP, but it matches how I remember it.
Also, necromancy is not illegal in Cyrrodil, so why would she be curious as to the height of the fine?

Edit: Just checked it in game and the UESP is word for word correct. Falanu is a necrophiliac.

I'm not quite sure how I overlooked that. I've spoken to her dozens of times and never picked up on it. But wow, thats gross now that I do think about it.

Him? Falanu Hlaalu is a female. Silly Oblivion rumours using incorrect terms...

I wish you could have caught her digging up graves. That would have been *interesting* to say the least.

Falanu Hlaalu has a corpse in a barrel in the upper level of her store/house. She doesn't need to dig up graves, since she's already got a buddy to pal around with.

She's not asking about the fine for necromancy. Necromancy and necrophilia are only related in that they both deal with the dead. Because one is legal lends nothing to assuming the status of the other.

Now there's a pressing issue to ask, would it be necrophilia to have six with someone who was brought back from the dead and isn't a mindless zombie?

Ooh, that's a toughie. But being undead isn't really being dead, so I guess it wouldn't be.
