Size of our homes

Post » Wed Sep 14, 2011 1:31 pm

I've been thinking about what kind of house my character should live in and i suddently started wondering. "What if i only have on option? :o"

I could see your home being a big part of the RP world since it would add some character to your character... Funny enough

Like a thief might not want to live in a big villa in the city or a farmer wouldn't want to live in the big city.

What do you hope... or think will be in the game :)

My character would like a mage's tower, except that that sort of thing tends to attract adventurers. Then you have to sweep their charred corpses out of your lightning trap every morning.

Honestly? I think it depends on how they look, really.

However, I hope we get to expand the size of our homes throughout the game. It would be nice to turn that one-room shack into an armed superfortress with a small army of servants and a much larger army of guards.

I like everything except an apartment from your list, so I voted for all but the apartment.

Give me.... a Shrubbery!

Not really, but actually a cabin in the forest would be cool.

im gonna be a barbarian-ranger type character, so im hoping for either a small cabin nestled at the foot of a mountain or a mead hall about like how thirsk was designed

I think there should be at least one of each. Skyrim is supposed to be very varied, so hopefully I can have like a log cabin in riverwood, and at the same time a castle in Whiterun or something.

Don't worry, there's going to be plenty of choices. Just pick a house you like and kill all the inhabitants and their decedents until you have an empty place to stash your loot. :whistling:

Anywhere I deem worthy of a hero of my stature. Anywhere seriously, as long as it's pretty.

A small house either in the outskirts of a city, or in a small woodlands settlement until I gain a bit more money. Then possibly a larger villa, still in the woods though. ^_^

And for my battlemage, something similar to Froscrag from OB, a tower built high in the mountains.

For my first character, Female Nord Battlemage, a big stone tower would be best.
For my second, or parallel character, Female Woodelf Ranger, a cottage type place.

Why give us multiple options when it comes to voting? I would like to see as many houses as Beth can possibly cram into Skyrim, be it an interesting/cool, big/small house or not.

Yeah and different prices depending on how close they are to a town and how big they are... sorta like in real life.

A town mansion would obviously cost more than some shack in the mountains.

Well In Morrowind I Spent Hours Just murdering an Entire Plantation. Lived in the Place like a Lord and Laughed at all the Argonians In the Field. Had Walls and Walls of Shields and Extra stuff. Looked nice But I had to remember what wall What set was on. So when i Did the Quest that Poisoned that Guy In Balmora I just took over his House. Used His Body to Store Crap. Had an Ocean of Glowing Named Crap on the Floor haha XD.

In Oblivion I Just Murdered A Store Keep and Lived in Her Upstairs till I Got the Thieves quest Hotel. Once that happened I Just sort of Stuck all my Awesome extra stuff in there instead. A Bit Cluttered and I had to Use the Chests to keep it from being an Ocean but I had no trouble remembering where I put.

That Being Said, a Small Room with 5 or 10 different carrying Areas is Perfect for me. A Nice looking bed to Put my Robes On, A Nice Desk and Bookshelf for Papers and Books and Odd Quest items (All of the Assassination writs or the Lich's Hour Glass for Instance). Boxes or a Chest to Hold all of my Non important Armor and weapons. And Something to Hold all of my Special Items for Gawking at when I'm bored or showing off.
