[RELz/WIPz] skaeps' Stuff

Post » Wed May 11, 2011 12:20 am

I can't seem to sleep, as tired as I am. So I'll give it a try tonight.

Edit:
Just got to trying it out. No CTDs! But, it has changed all greetings to "AAG". Topics work fine, just the greetings are messed up.

Something was borked at upload, it seems. The esp is apparently only partially there... I didn't even touch the greetings... Yet, I can download it fine, no errors. Super-weird. I'll check it out and re-upload sometime soon.

[edit] Eh... FilePlanet is having issues... I've re-saved and re-uploaded a new file (_23b) but FP is giving me errors. They should have it settled by tomorrow morning. In the meantime, here's a MediaFire linkRemoved.

I'm just curious why I was able to download the same file as you, twice, with no glitches. Could it be my browser cache? What program are you using to unzip the archive? I used 7zip to package it.

Just downloaded 2.3b (from both sites) and I'm still having problems. I opened it up in TESAME and it's http://img641.imageshack.us/img641/3824/13831734.jpg MWEE did for Drackolus, over on PES. When I cast the spell it allowed me to choose the position of the bars, but I couldn't lock anyone in; everytime I cast the spell, either looking at an NPC, creature, or nothing, it always brought up the position box again. I didn't notice any dialogue errors, though.

Unzipped with 7zip. It wasn't a new game though. Will try the mediafire link + new game.

Edit:
No luck still. Tried with (almost, better bodies/heads and quickchar) no mods + new game and still got the greeting.

I took a look in MWEdit and not seeing any greetings either.

Uploaded a new version, 24c. I ran it through the CS a couple of times and cleaned it with MWEdit, and then double-checked. At first, it was fine, but then after loading it again, I got some errors about the "rat" topic, which had been filled with the title of a journal topic that I had long ago cleaned from the mod. Somehow, this one topic was reporting over every other topic despite being locked to a single NPC ID. :bonk: Also, I recompiled everything.

For clarification, the mod contains 8 globals, 5 scripts, 2 start scripts, a spell, and nothing else. Yes, the book is gone.

Downloading now and if it works well I'll report back tomorrow after playing for the next couple hours. :)

Edit:
The greeting is gone now. But I'll have to go through my mod list and find out which npcs do not work with AAG.

Out of curiosity, will you still leave the one that doesn't have the persistence statusbar for download?

Good to hear! I did not upload a version without the persistence option, if I remember correctly. (And my memory often fails.) I can upload the previous versions of the mod. Now that I think about it, did older versions have the mod-added companion crashes like the latest ones?

And I just found my old stuff for a "drunken" shader for NOM!

I uploaded the previous versions of Status Bars I had on disk. I'm going to start putting up test versions of the mod to help root out what exactly is causing problems. First up, Test 1: Trying to determine whether the status bars script is the one with problems. Anyone who helps will get my appreciation (lots of it) and a thousand points!

[edit] Once again, directions would probably be good. Just use it like normal, testing companions, including mod-added ones. The bars won't show up, but if it doesn't crash, then that's step one.

Whatever you did, it works for me now! No more CTD, though the magicka bar keeps changing. I'm 95% sure that's because the magicka is actually erratically changing, since it was doing things like that before. Only, then I couldn't see it before. Huzzah!

Wonderful news! For clarity's sake, which version is now working for you? And what do you mean by erratically changing? Is it jumping back and forth between max and something else?
