Hello all,

I am living Windstad Manor near Morthal and i have the place pretty much done and furnished, and i was heading to my cellar to add a few more things and there were about 7-8 Skeever just walking around. They were not hostile to begin with so the first thing that came to mind was "Ok kids....you can keep 1." when i came close to them they all became hostile and attacked. I killed all of them and piled them in a corner, now my question is will they get cleaned up? Could i go exploring for a bit come back and they will be gone or will they sit in that corner forever? If anybody has the answer that would be great.

Corpses are supposed to clean up after 3, 10 or 30 days depending on who they are and where they are and how often you go back to that cell.

3 should do it in most cases, the 10 and 30 day timers are for cells with generic spawning NPCs, the first for places you have not cleared out, the second for places you have. Not sure how these Skeevers are counted. You may even see them gone the next time you come back.....

For me, corpses from random events that affect Hearthfire homes clean up very fast. I once had a giant attack my house, so I killed it and then went inside, realized I forgot to loot the body, and went right back out only to find that it was already gone.

2 days for me, for the skeevers

OUTSIDE the home they dissappear pretty quickly.. However inside they never go away. The Ice Wraith corpse I killed in Solitude months and months ago (random companion quest) is still there. The skeevers have been in my basemant too for many days now. I suspect they'll always be there now.
