Skill bonuses of different races.

Sorry if this has already been discussed but any word on what the skill bonuses for each race are going to be? How about the bonuses from the Guardian Stones?

Im pretty sure the skills are indentical for each race initially, they all have unique racial abilities, not skill sets.

The Guardian stones will affect all the races the same. If you mean to ask what the different bonuses from the Guardian stones will be; only the first three (Warrior/Mage/Theif skills mature faster) have been confirmed, i think.

Here is where you are mistaken. Starting skills are a little different for different races. Someone will probably post what some are.

I'm guessing that the racial starting skills will be very close to what we saw in OB and MW, just adjusted for the new list of skills.

It would, thats the point. Be who you want. Bethesda isn't pigeon holeing peeple into certain gameplay stigma with the race they choose.

I think I was not very clear in my original post. I didn't mean just skill distribution points. I also meant Race specific abilities. Like 25% resistance to magic or 25% resistance to fire damage.
Anyway it looks like, from the responses so far, nothing specific has been revealed.

Skill distribution and resistance to certain elements have been revealed. A little search and you will find these.

I see what you mean. I personally liked the differences in skills/abilities between diferent races. It felt like it gave that choice a bit more meaning/importance.

each race gets a 10 bonus and a 5 bonus in 2 skills. guardian stones are now blessing stones and you activate 1 at a time. we only know 3 stones and what they do.

- ORCS: Beserker
- REDGUARDS: Adrenaline Rush,
- WOOD ELF: resist poison, resisit disease, command animals
- NORD: Battlecry
- KHAJIIT: night-eye, claw attacks
- IMPERIAL: Voice of the Emperor, find more coins when looting
- HIGH ELF: regenerate Magicka more quickly
- DARK ELF: Ancestor's Wrath (surround self in fire), resist fire
- BRETON: Dragonskin (absorb spells), resist shock
- ARGONIANS: Histskin (regenerate health quickly), resist disease 50%, breathe underwater

I've had orc mages and altmer fighters in OB. It may be a little more challenging until you start picking up on the skills, but it's still minute enough to simply ignore. Racial or gender based bonuses are just that, simple bonuses, it doesn't make or break any choice you make on how to play it.

I sure hope differences in race and gender are kept.

think of the altmer and bretons, they lost their useful abilitys (apperently) breton des not resist magic anymore, does not have more magicka, and no shield spell. altmer no longer have increased magicka, and they lost their iconic weakenss to every bit of magic

not to mention every race is the exact same skill-wise (not that it mattered much before) and most of the abilitys seem sorta worthless (except khajiit claw attack)
