Hello everyone, how are You all doin'?

Fine? Now that is good and dandy, which I cannot say about my Skyrim character. I've encountered a very specific glith/bug/issue. My character can not gain skill points via reading Books or training with Trainer. Trainers take my precious septims gladly, but give nothing in return, 0 (zero) skill gain. Normal leveling works fine though.

So, I'm I the only one with this bug, or I'm not alone in that matter? And more importantly is there any soultion to fix this beyond starting new character?

Are you using mods?

Has this been happening all along or did it just start all of a sudden? Skill points are capped at 100.

Tried a quick game cache verify?

It happen suddenly, any of the mods I'm currently using effects leveling or anything even remotely related to it. My character is also fairly low level with most his primary skills at high 30's, so no. i'm quite far from 100 cap. I tried cache validiation, without effect.

I didn't have this problem with trainers, but I did have it with skill books when I was using that mod that allows picking up books without reading them.

What I would recommend is that you try disabling all your mods and see if the issue goes away. Try that first.

Uncheck all your mods and rename the scripts folder in the data folder. What happens then?

Perhaps you are trying to read a book you've already read? There are multiple copies of some books around Skyrim.

You can also only use a trainer 5 times in a level. You can't use him again until you level up. Maybe you already know this. If you do then disregard.

Does this seem to be happening with all Skill books/all trainers?

All of them. Also rewards for misc quests doesn't work ie. Ysolda's training you in Speech after you bring her Mammoth tusk.

Did you test a new game or load a previous save? Does it happen there too?

Previous Save - Fail

New Game - OK

Most likely, my current save is corrupted.
