NO Skill Weaponry

Post » Tue Oct 13, 2009 11:50 pm

It seems like all the weapons in Crysis 2 have been dumbed down to console and COD standards. Recoil is nearly nonexistent and there is virtually no bullet spread. It's just point, click, kill with no actual fire control skill involved.

Compared to the original Crysis, it's like night and day. We want original Crysis weapon handling and performance back, not some dumbed down variation that is in Crysis 2.

What do you guys think?

I agree with you Chewie but i think that was their goal considering COD is one of the most competitively played fps games i guess they wanted crysis 2 to have a more competitive side to it and get people from cod to come over but thats just my thought

At least it's a lot better than it was in the demo.

The demo had no recoil or weapon shudder at all. It was as if the gun was mounted to a work bench.

Actually, I haven't played MP yet, just single player....

Perhaps it's just me, but I would expect bleeding edge weaponry to have advanced characteristics. Less jitter and more lethality per clip is just fine by me. If I want Crysis-style weapons, I'll play Crysis.

Mr_1958 hits the nail on the head. WELL SAID!
This game is beast, I just wish all the original Crysis players would see the beast in this game. This is not Crysis 1, get used to it and you'll see how great this game is. Change is good. You want Crysis 1? It still exists!

Change for its own sake isn't always good.

Would you like to play Playstation Contra games? No, because they changed stuff there for the hell of it and it svcked.

Crysis 1 release was MIND-BLOWING in a particularly AMAZING way , Crysis 2 release is the feel of **** hitting face.

No Dx11, lots and lots of bugs- a completely unfinished product. Sure, Crysis 1 had some hickups but that was NOTHING compared to launch of Crysis 2

That means it all comes down to personal choice, and I think Crytek did a good job with the weapon characteristics. As for Playstation games, I couldn't care less since I don't do consoles.

if weapons are easy to use then the game just becomes random spraying..............so there is no way to differentiate pros from noobs. ppl are sick of getting headshotted randomly..........but than again the game is designed to appeal to cod players with no skills. Just introduce randomness in the game so that everybody get kills

Exactly, random headshots are one of the most annoying aspects regarding weapons in Crysis 2 MP. Weapons are also a little bit too easy to use and so far all I have seen online are lone-wolfing rambo retards going in with guns blazing, spraying and praying.

Original Crysis was nothing like this and it was far better that way.
