Skin, Beautiful Skin

Do you want your skin color to be altered in anyway by burns, scars, diseases, tans from the sun, paleness if you stay out of the sun too long. Please, share your thoughts.

No. I'd like to be able to select those kinds of things during character creation, but I don't want my characters looks to ever be out of my control (vampirism/lycanthropy aside, of course).

I don't know this is kind of a yes or no question to me - wouldn't restoration just melt scars away

While creating my character, I want to be able to add scars and things like that on my own. I guess I'd be okay with a system where if you get hit hard in combat, there's a chance you'll get a scar, but it should be able to be healed through Restoration or by seeing a healer or a priest, similar to a disease. I want to be in control of how scarred my character is or is not.

No, except for things that you add in character creation, you should not gain scars and such from battle or disease. I take time to create an awsome looking character and do not want it to be ruined because I get struck a few times during the game. This type of system was tried in the original Fable and I hated it there as I will hate it if its included in Skyrim. Leave my beautiful character alone. If it is included I will be both annoyed and frustrated....then I will be forced to play as a mage to insure my character does not end up looking like he's been through a meat-grinder after 10hrs of gameplay.

While it would be cool, I'd prefer just being able to enter the race menu at any time to do my own alterations. Or just restrict it to character creation.

Only in character creation and if we get some method to change our hairstyles and the like ingame after char creation, to add scars and such there too. I wouldn't like it being at all like Fable in that scars accumlate as you fight through the game. :S

Yes. Altmer looked like they had jaundice in Oblivion.

What if you could meet some sort of Mage that could change your appearance like in FO3?

I want injured people to look injured, not exactly the same as they do at full health as when they're about to die.

It would be cool. If you want an unscarred face, don't get hit.

...should probably be toggleable, though, as I'm sure that there are a lot of people who will hate me for the above statement otherwise :-)

Well, complete customization in character creation is a given. If I can devise a short, spherical, blue-tatooed, tough as nails, scarred old lady, I might go the magic way for once.

Got nothing against damage during the game. Scars, burns, frost, bring it on. Insofar they heal/can be magicked away : I get that people want to control the appearance of their chars, gotta suit everyone.

If it's implemented, I hope it goes down better than the whole vampire cosmetic nightmare of Oblivion. I had to search for the proper console code, so to spring the character creation menu and un-evil-mime my Imperial.

In character creation, yeah. The OP is talking about receiving scars throughout the game from combat and the like.

I would love it scars and all, cauliflower ears, bent nose, missing teeth, but we aint gonna see it, because too many of you like to see your perfect girl/guy with beautiful hentai looks dressed in goth makeup/clothes, wearing high heels and walking like some1 inserted a gerbil in your arses, and wearing outfits more in line with movies like PartyMonster then like a barbarian from ancient times.

Oy, generalization much ? :P

And I really doubt I'm the only one here who want something more interesting than the standard aesthetically correct bland char.

If I get into an insane battle and get a deep opened cut from it, like a disease if I don't treat it right it will scar. (This is the only way Id like this if it's semi optional)
Otherwise the first fight you have with either a Clanfear or Sabertooth Tiger is going to get you really messed up.

To be honest it would be cool if for the first time you faught a sabertooth tiger and it slashed your face with it's fang and if I decided to not treate the wound accordingly it would remain... I think it would be a nice battle trophy though.

No, I don't want to receive scars throughout the game. I would like the ability to add scars, tattoos, or other markings during character creation. After that my character stays the same. Don't mess with him or her. A lot of thought and work goes into creating their perfection I don't want them to get messed with. Especially with my haphazard play-style, they would end up looking like one big nasty scar! :yucky:
