Skin tone.

Well, I'm wanting to make a Dark Elf, and I want his skin to be solid black. Not black as in so dark you can't see any facial features, but like, classic D&D style Drow black. Sort of like http://www.elfwood.com/art/l/o/lolia/drow_warrior.jpg. The only problem is, I'm on PS3, and I can get any mods that will add more "beauty" to the races and their skin color.

So, how can I make this effect without having any of the annoying orange/blue color in his cheeks? I've tried endlessly. It's not working.

Also, is there any way to have the color of his torso, arms, and legs match up at least a little bit better with the face? Again, it turns into this ugly dark orange when I try.

Thanks in advance :D.

Man, I'm not even sure it's possible to get a drow's skin tone in Vanilla (unmodded) Oblivion. I mean, if you've already tried it, I doubt I could figure it out much better.

I know with my new Breton wizard character, I was trying endlessly to get big, bushy eyebrows, as big as possible, because I was trying to make him look Gandalfy. I know you can't make beards in vanilla, but I was hoping at least I could get the eyebrows. No go. :( He's got a funny-looking forehead, tho.

Yeah, they didn't do a good job at all with allowing you to make your characters look halfway decent... I mean, I know you can make them look pretty good, but that's either with half an hour of work, or you've created so many characters you know exactly what to do. Man, I wish I had $20 lying around... Guess I'll have to hope I get the game for PC for Christmas :P.

I've tried a number of times to get a near-black skin tone. A kind of darkish Royal Blue tint is the best I have ever been able to manage without resorting to a custom face texture.

Ok the charcol skin tone you posted is probably not too likely in vanilla Oblivion, but since BG2 I allways pictured drow having a beautiful bluish tint..
So 4 - 5 minutes on this face http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/g376/Indep/ScreenShot53.jpg came up with a very close match.
If I were you, just knock the blue / ... tints down a bit more, fiddle with the beard selection, fiddle with the age - tone scale a bit, make sure you get the lips right unlike on my pic.. so on.

The link in the OP is blocked in my region for some reason.

Anyway, I've achieved a pitch-black skin tone on Orcs before, and am pretty sure I can do it on other races. I'll see if I can do one, if so, I'll report back, with a picture tutorial, and if not, I'll just report my failure.

Since you're doing a Dark Elf, I'll try it too.

I have a Dark Elf character already though, and his skin is pretty dark, although I didn't mean it to be black, I think you may like it.

Needs to be a little more bluish, perhaps. YOu've got the basic facial shape, though.

I played around with this a bit got a really black dunmer, except for the tip of his nose which is reddish. HIs lips were a bit green, too, but I think you can get rid of that pretty easily. Nose tip stumped me though. Here's the approximate slider positions I ended with.

Complexion L

Skin: flushed L, Shade L, Tint o/b 60% R, Tint p/y 60% R, Blush 60% R

Beard (body color matches the beard imx) f/p L, l/d R, cheeks 75% R, circle 66% R, goatee 55% R, moustache 100% R

Lips: flushed L, lipstick 30% R, 50%

Eyes: made everything as dark as possible.

You'll probably have to move the sliders repeatedly to get them in these positions.

I didn't have any luck with getting a dark (charcoal) gray.
