In the main quest, when you have to go to Little Lamplight to get into Vault 87, is there some way to skip that part?

I absolutely HATE that place. Is there any way (console or mod) I can bypass the whole Little Lamplight scenario? I thought of making a door that goes straight to the area with the super mutants (murder pass), but I read on the wiki that getting into Vault 87 without getting access first glitches the questline.

Talk to the Mayor kid. There is a topic line on who is brave, but I think it requires Child at heart, not sure.

I don't think you get what I'm saying. I don't want to skip murder pass, I mean I don't want to do the part of "Picking Up The Trail" that has to do with Little Lamplight.

From my understanding the other entrance is totally irradiated, it killed me in a handful of seconds. So I guess the answer is no.

You can't use that door anyways, it's marked as Inaccessible.

I mean skipping that part of the quest via mod or console.

That said - I recon you can coc to vault 87 - check out the wikia for the location code.
I think you'll need to console (i.e. getstage xxxxxxxx) to trigger gaining access to lamplight, then coc to vault 87 and it should update the quest again once you're in there - or there abouts (i.e. Murder pass)

What he said, since your asking about mods I'm guessing your on a pc so bypassing it shouldn't be any problem as long as you've got a basic understanding of how to use console commands.

This modification will allow the player (that's you) to bypass the buck-toothed, snotty-ass, know-it-all kids who reside in the piece of [censored] settlement that has been labeled "Little Lamplight"

What it does is that the door that is the main entrance to Little Lamplight is now linked to Murder Pass instead. This way you aren't cheating, but you're skipping over the stupid kids who make no sense. For best experience, save at the exterior entrance, then exit. Activate this mod, then re-enter and go into murder pass. Save again, exit. Now you can deactivate. Yes, you can now delete my pitiful modification.

The main irradiated door outside leads nowhere and is not linked to any interior cell, it is just scenery.
