skooma isnt really skyrims thing so there wont be much of a presence except maybe in areas close to morrowinds boarder

skooma would freeze in skyrim... whatever the ingredients are... :ahhh:

slavery? im not big on the idea.. even if you free them. their names are still "slave" and they'll just wonder around aimlessly getting killed by mudcrabs and the like

They need to make more new drugs. Skooma isn't the only drug in Tamriel! Look at how many mushrooms were in Morrowind. Surely a few of those were pyschadelic.

But back to the question, a little skooma would be fine in the game. I don't see any reason why they couldnt start slavery back up again. I mean, once the Empire fell, who was to stop slavery from making a return?

Has no one played Morrowind? Skooma is made from Moonsugar. And if you can mine moonsugar in the province of Morrowind, then I would not be surprised if you could in Skyrim as well. I think Skooma will definitely be in. As far as slavery, it is 200 years in what sounds to be a dystopian future, if you will, so slaves may be back as well.

A LOT can happen in 200 years. For all we know, Several Nords in Skyrim could be addicted to Skooma. And Slavery may very well be present as well. Personally I think it would be poetic justice if Dunmer were the prominent race that was subject to slavery.

The Dunmer had to drive out Nordic invaders before, and maybe this time they failed! Especially with the tribunal in ruin after the Nerevarine got done with all of his/her shinanigans.

Oh the Dunmer had a lot more problems than just the Tribunal being in ruin. Read the Infernal City for further insight.

I wouldn't expect the Twin Lamps to appear. Vvardenfell was destroyed by the eruption of Red Mountain after the events of Oblivion (in the novel The Infernal City). But ANOTHER abolitionist group might appear, if slavery has returned to Skyrim in the past 200 years. Skooma is derived from moon sugar, which is found in sugar canes native to the Tenmar Forest of southern Elsweyr. So, it could make an appearance (i mean Khajiit are still around, after all).

I like to pretend that the Infernal City didn't happen lol. I guess we might possibly find out if they include it as canon or not.

It's official. But seeing as how that book also took place a long time ago, some interesting back story may come up for Morrowind. I'm hoping we get subtle pieces of information that we can collect to find out what's happening now.

Also, part two comes out in September. So it may give more insight at to what the empire's situation is like.

You kidding me you can't have an Elderscrolls without Skooma, Moonsugar, Telvanni Bug Musk.
And I don't think I've read anything official about the abolishment of slaves. The slave mechanic provided a compelling twist. As well as the pilgrimage I endured!

Haha would be funny yo see some Skooma addicts trying to heat up some Skooma... Skooma warms you up!

A graphical affect would be nice to have in Skyim. Hopefully getting drunk in taverns will create some social humor.

Because my guy is gunna be an (slightly) unlawful Khajiit, he will slightly involved with the illegal Skooma trade.

On another note, I hope they have moon sugar like they did in MW

Todd (I think) said there is a Dunmer hold near the border of Morrowind. So skooma and slaves could be smuggled from there into the general area of Skyrim. Also I just remembered the quest from Morrowind where you must escort a slave to Balmora who had Skooma in his/her stomach, and if you delivered him/her, he/she would be killed for the skooma. Yeah... More criminal quests would be cool.

If Skooma and Slavery are not in the game in any form then it simply is not an Elder Scrolls Game.

if books says it wasn't I'd say no but if they say nothing I'd say yes

Yes. Corruption makes a good game world a great game world.

Slavery can be so much more than the pessimistic "It can't stray from Morrowind!!" mindset. Look http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=5630. Perfect. I use it all the time.

Or http://mwmodders.com/farmermod.html. Perfect, again. Both used together would make for an amazing feature.

It can also make for many strange situations, and great quests. Look at http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Tul%27s_Escape. Hopefully we'll have a more interactive Twin Lamps, and the ability to join an opposing faction.

I also want Moon Sugar back. And the ability to brew Skooma. And I should be able to get better effects from the Skooma when I have a Skooma Pipe with me. And crazy effects.

Also, Moon Sugar doesn't come from Morrowind. It's a Khajiit thing. From what I understand, it's made in Elswyr.
