For SKSE, there is no "right way" to install it. IF it is crashing, then something is missing, plain and simple.

Why do People not create a Folder called Games on Thier Drives and Install STEAM into it, C:Games\Steam?
I developed a habit of placing all of My Games into a Games Folder if the Installation Tool for the Game would allow it Years Ago, I never had the UAC issues with Vista and Windows 7, and I was playing Skyrim on a new PC within an Hour of getting it Home last Week.
Ok, just finished setting the game back to vanilla, installed SKSE and the same problem arises.
Here is my SKSE.log contents
Is this normal? I'm not sure what to look for. This is when I have anything like SkyUI deactivated.
I would like to add that after reverting to a vanilla installation I now get a black screen momentarily before the crash. Before it was just the black box and then nothing, now it is black box followed by black screen and then nothing.
I had the same problem after making a single change, it broke my Skyrim. Any mod that is SKSE related should be handled with care and not to allow replacement of existing files of other mods (this breaks stuff apparently).
It looks to be as it starts and then stops without error, there is nothing left to do.
Do you use ENB injector? It would need to be configured in the skse.ini I think (or the other way around).
like this:
3. Set the following values in enbinjector.ini:
[LIBRARY]
LibraryName=enbseries.dll
[TARGETPROCESS]
ProcessName0=skse_loader.exe
ProcessName1=SkyrimLauncher.exe
ProcessName2=tesv.exe

Currently I have no mods (other than official dlcs) or third party applications attached to the game and it still does not work. I can assume that there is no conflict (which is what I thought originally).
You made posts yesterday and today. Very blunt question: did you reboot the system in the meantime?
Some loaded libraries may remain in memory, even after the application stops.
ENB is not a mod per se, it is either a single d93d.dll in the skyrim folder or an external program you start before launching the game.
The default official data folder with all DLC has only the dawnguard, dragonborn, heartfire, update, skyrim - * esm/.esp and folders interface, video and textures in data IIRC (can check later at home, I keep a copy of this for myself ). You still need to rerun LOOT or BOSS to adjust the load order if you removed all mod esp manually.
Sorry for poking in the dark...

I appreciate the help disi.
On the advice of people on this thread, I reverted the game to vanilla and steam verified local files to include the official dlc.
I did have ENB, however this would have gone when reverting to vanilla.
I have reinstalled SKSE multiple times and restarted the computer as well.
I am at a loss as to what is happening.
Do you have User Account Control turned on?
If so have you tried starting with UAC temporarily deactivated?
I did/do Steam local file checks and it does not delete any additional files or folders, it would not have removed the ENB dll in the Skyrim folder. It also does not make changes to your skyrim.ini or skyrimprefs.ini.
When I reset mine, I wipe the Data folder complete and then verify local with Steam (I leave the ENB 262 dll in the Skyrim folder this works for me). I just remember ENB 264 crashes my game if I use it with RCRN btw., and might do also without? Not sure when but can try later...
Interesting idea, tried it just now but still same outcome
When I set to vanilla I deleted the entire folder except the main bsa files for skyrim as per jjleon_2's post earlier. Nothing remains of enb.dll
Interestingly, trying to run SKSE when steam is not running does a similar thing, Steam goes to log on but crashes after less than a second. When Steam is logged on and active, the Skyrim logo in my quicklaunch glows for the same amount of time before crashing.
How does SKSE differ from OBSE or FOSE? Those two work when SKSE does not.
Thanks for the recommendations, I just am getting to the point where I think SKSE will never work on my rig. If anyone has any other ideas I will be glad to hear them!
Have you given SKSE full privileges in your firewall settings?
I had a bunch of problems with my Comodo acting up on me even though I thought I had given all the proper rights. Check the logs to see if anything gets blocked.
For some reason, running with ENB I need to have must of my stuff in Administrative mode.
Sorry if it has been mentioned before, I didn't read all the posts... yeah I am a slouch.
Locksley, you are a star. Even though I thought I had tried running skse with comodo disabled, looking through the logs as you suggested showed that it was being blocked. Specifically added it to the trusted files list and hey presto, it works.
I can't believe it was the antivirus, that was the first thing I checked (clearly not well enough). Thanks again everyone for their suggestions!
