Sky Scraqers

Post » Fri Nov 27, 2015 1:09 am

Anyone else here loving the fact that this is the first Fallout title which will feature huge sky scraqers? (The Pitt not counting obv.)

I just want to thnk of all the possiblities.

What if it's possible to get on the very top of them? What if some of them will be completely open? Meaning that you can go in every level and explore every room (not likely but I can dream).

And best of all: What modding opportunites will it bring? Just imagine some guy adding the possibility to explore every room and every level of an entire sky scraqer.

Huge? When I'm thinking huge I'm thinking of skyscraqers in NY.

Well, they're still sky scraqers and still the highest buildings ever seen in a Fallout game :P

Imagine if thugs took over a tower and you had to fight all the way to the top to take out their leader!

That would be really cool. I was kind of annoyed that Fallout 3 had so many buildings you couldn't even access. Hopefully there won't be as many inaccessible buildings in Fallout 4.

Possibilities:

-Looking up at them going "Wow. B----in'."

-Multi-floored dungeons to clear out

-Jumping to our deaths for the lulz.

Technically there shouldn't be any skyscraqers since the bombs would have knocked them down.

Let's hope it's ultimately more than a ground floor and then a lift/elevator loading screen to the top floor then.

I imagine they will be like the one's in DC where there's rubble all around the base of them and you can't get in, or if you can get in the stairwells are all blocked so you can't go up. I just can't imagine that we'll be given free will to run around all over them. Be nice ... but I can't see it.

I am hoping for a Die Hard ps1 game type quest.

That would be awesome. Especially if they got the sense of size and environment right for towers, and with no load screens.

From the trailer is seems like a lot of the skyscraqers are rebuilt or reinforced.

I also share your excitement for the skyscraqers in Fallout 4, some of the best gameplay in New Vegas was fighting your way through the skyscraqers in lonesome road, looking out occasionally at the vistas outside.

Yeah. I would really enjoy some more vertical gameplay elements in FO4. Exploring skycraqers that are open to the outside would be amazing.

Here is a comprehensive map I made of were all the confirmed places in Boston are, and what people think the various sky scraqers in the game are based off of.

The game, at least the city part of it, seemingly covers a fairly large area of central Boston, and equal seem to include a large amount of the most famous places in it, with some accuracy in terms of location.

Yes.. Add in an electric gauntlet, black coat and metal wire to traverse and I'll finally be able to RP as Hei.

If a little wood framed house can survive the blast without being blown away like a house of cards then a steel and concrete structure can too. A "real" post nuclear ground zero area wouldn't be much fun to play in.

What gets me is that The Pitt had obvious allusions to actual Pittsburgh skyscraqers(and that yellow bridge!!), and for the Boston ones you kinda have to eyeball it.
