SkyCrash or CrashRim?

I'm used to the translucent floors where its all blue, or nothing in a room except a voice and I blindly look for the door. I'm used to the NPC with no head or arms (insert extremity here), or even the blue trees that kinda look like weird icicles. It's the crashes that keep me from giving the game above a 9. After a poster commented he had 2500 saves, it dawned on me that I too had one finger on the quick save button. The worst occasion was the negotiation council between the imperials and the Jarls, that lasted something like 10 scripted minutes, then promptly crashed, necessitating a save every 10 second scenario until it was done. After over 125 hours I have found that the crash straight to desktop happens in any and all circumstances. However, the predominant times are:
Fast Travel Attempt 50%
Walking in or out of a door 25%
Totally random 15%
Steam Update 10%
Other 5%

Those are the percentages of types of crashes. The actual percentage of a fast travel attempt crashing is 50-75%, etc. Sometimes I have to wait a game day or two to go somewhere because it crashes repeatedly if I try and go to a certain place.

Numbers don't add up? Lol, just like the crashes, it doesn't make sense. Four hundred hours of FNV, which was not as bad, and still happening? Not good. Good Lord, if you forget to save after a ancient dragon fight, geez, what a let down. Really, the crashes and the vendors only having $5 when I have $2000 worth of stuff to sell are the only major problems.

Fix the crashes so Skyrim can continue having an "occupy my hard drive" on my beloved PC. Well, it would anyway.

I have not had near the amount of technical problems you claim to have with this game.

It might not be the game.

This is the problem when people regulate "crashing" as a "major bug". We dont, for once, havea lot of PC (I am aware of the XBOX,PS technical issues) coming to the forums making jokes about the widespread crash bugs like there were in Morrowind and Oblivion which were confirmed to be due to a memory leak.

So, I want to say its simply a computer getting fussy. Skyrim is a big game, it takes a lot of resources to run, what settings are you on? Is your computer up to date? Do you do anything that would compromise your computers integrity? How old is it?

Maybe you should stop burning your game system by playing so much.

It doesn't really use a whole lot of resources.

I had the same problem as the op, fixed it by using the 4gb patch.
