SKYRIM after you max everything out....

Post » Sun May 18, 2014 5:52 pm

In the previous thread I began - we talk all about how to get every last single perc that you can put on your skill trees covered with percs - BEFORE beginning the game in terms of main quests, or even very important questlines like Dawnguard or the Dragonborn DLC.

That thread is at the following link:

http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1498817-maxxed-out-skyrim-at-legendary-play-level/

The build phase of things can easily take up to three or four weeks by itself - it took me 23 days at an average of 17 hours per session to get there.

This thread is about what happens, what we find, how the game plays AFTER DOING THAT....

For one thing, the bad guys really do get harder, and mods or no mods, you find yourself in desperate situations again and again, where in ordinary play you can always go build up somehow to compensate in some way for a really bad opponent that you run across.

HERE you already have everything - so that door is closed to us. That by itself makes it much different.

My preference is to play at the LEGENDARY Level just to go up against the hardest challenges. Others may play as they choose, but I think you will find the challenge and think factors are considerably higher than normal.

Please do not post in this thread unless you have a game that is ramped up to the point where you can't get many (if any) percs anymore.

This is nothing to do with playing at low levels, the average here is going to most likely be well above level 200. If you haven't gone there, your game will play a lot different and there are other threads for that.

The exception to that being questions.

It will probably take those who have become intrigued by my methods a while to catch up with me, but if this thread has no activety for a while it doesn't mean that it is dead. Kindly respect those who are sincerely interested in it.

I'm closing in on level 250 now - I think that following up on any and all words of power I can get is a good way to move things ahead in my own game. I don't really remember what the first Dragon in the game (Western Watchtower) was, but the very next one I went after was a Legendary Dragon that was roosting on top of the word of power stone at Shearpoint, near Whiterun. *Northeast, above Shimmermist Cave

For all of my high levels, especially in Archery, it near took my player char apart and it was necessary to launch a pair of Flame Thralls to keep it busy while I worked on it.

So far, I have avoided using enchanted weapons because I really don't like having to carry a lot of soul gems around to recharge things.

Another problem right now is that I don't have a set of Dragon Armor or Weapons set up yet, I'm still deciding what the equipment build should be to make the most of it.

Armor I DO enchant. Unlike in Oblivion where everything has to be repaired and maintained, in SKYRIM the armor will stay enchanted without recharging, and it's the enchantments on my armors and jewelry that boost my weapons the most besides weapon skill levels.

From what I see so far, I think Fortify Heavy Armor is going to be a mainstay...

* I think what I'm going to do at this point is hold off going any further with this game until some of my new friends can catch up to where I'm at with it. I have only two skills left to finish - Pickpocket and destruction are in the upper nineties, so it's a good time to take a breather.

For the time being I'm going to get back into Oblivion again - I had a pretty good run going in that game, and wanted to pick it back up for a while. Much the same kind of thing, I went after serious levels from the start.
