Skyrim is amazing with its detail :)

Post » Wed Jan 01, 2014 12:19 pm

I started to play Skyrim about 2 weeks ago, and I am just amazed every time I play and run into new things :)

A couple examples:

Went to my Windstad home to check on my fishery there, and there were 3 horkers just sun bathing, surprising thing was that they weren't hostile to me and I could go up and pet them, ended up just watching them move around and do their thing for about 10-15 minutes, was just like seeing wildlife in real life, cept they didn't run away when I got close, kinda what you always wish could happen.

Today, I went down into my basemant in Lakeview Manor, and it was infested with 4 skeevers, big surprise lol

Then I slapped on some light armor and my bow, cause I wanted to try out sneaking and sneak attacks, went to Bleak Falls Barrow and cleared all that using stealth and had so much fun, ran over to Embershard mine and cleared that also, getting my sneak & bow both to skill 32 in no time.

Yes, this is my first playthrough, but I'm having a blast doing it !!

Careful what you say. The haters can sense almost any sort of praise given to Bethesda.

The haters can just stick it up their rear ends. If they don't like it when we do not want to play their games then why should we give a [censored] about what they think about the games we play?

Oh and yes I agree with the op on this one.

Skyrim is a great game. One of the few that I still play after 2 years.

But calling it the best game ever made is kinda short sighted(You can call it your favorite game however). TES 6 could blow skyrim out the water :)

Oh no, Bethesda definitely DO deserve praise for the world they have created.....Skyrim is a very beautiful and well designed world - even I have to admit that.

But "best game ever made" is highly subjective and something that will always divide opinion.

To me Skyrim is like the most amazing box ever, it's an absolute beauty to look at and a genuine work of art, Until you open the box and realise it is empty.

Glad you're enjoying it though, I can certainly see why so many people do.

Skyrim might not be the "best game ever" but to me it is the best game I have ever played.
When the time has come for me to say goodbye to Skyrim, I will NEVER forget it.

They're found on that tree stump outside of Riverwood back when Todd Howard decided to only put real detail in the parts of the game that would be shown at E3. Same thing with the bats only found in Bleak Falls Barrow, and the birds only found flying out of the tree outside of Riverwood. It's just obvious Bethesda was show boating with the detail.

Mate, I joined before Oblivion was released, and most of you have more posts than me.

Serves me right for too much lurking.

I do think Skyrim is great, after not playing for two years. Big disappointment when I first got it, not what I expected.

Still, playing Skyrim is like picking a Master level lock on a huge, epic chest and finding nothing in it.

Skyrim is amazing and it is the second best game I've played to date (Bioshock will be #1 in my heart until I die). I've played it so much and still love it to death. Having played it as extensively as I have though, you start to see the chinks in its armor. The biggest for me would be having no attributes and the severely reduced spell selection (yes I will [censored] about these things on every thread lol). Skyrim is amazing though, no one can deny that.

Not sure about the bats, but I've had the flock of birds fly out from other places besides Riverwood.
