If Skyrim and Fallout 4 were coming out on 11.11.11

Post » Sat Sep 24, 2011 1:39 am

I actually have no idea, recently I've gotten back into Fallout 3 and have just bought New Vegas, but I'm just so excited for Skyrim I don't know how I would be able to comprehend a new Fallout as well.
I think Skyrim would win this ultimately, but Fallout 4 would definately be highly anticipated.

I like fallout, alot since I am playing new vegas until skyrim comes out. But seriously, This is hands down skyrim. Everyone know Elder Scrolls > Fallout Series.

Skyrim because I wouldn't have heard any details whatsoever about Fallout 4 by the time they're out.

Well the last two games we had Fallout games in 2008 and 2010. Elder Scrolls hasn't been seen since Shivering Isles in 2007 (I think it was then). So, easily Elder Scrolls.

I'd definitely get both, but I think Skyrim would probably edge out in front and I'd save Fallout 4 for my Christmas wish list.

Agreed. I really like FO, but Skyrim would be my choice for sure.

Fallout 4, of coarse BGS doesn't have the skill or resources to make both at the same time but this is a What If. Thing is if both launched at the same time it'd be hard to gauge "Lessons Learned" as one or the other wouldn't benefit from corrections of downfalls.

But yes I would buy Fallout 4 as I think it'll be better than 3..which is a given considering other than the outside world now in 3D vs isometric icons was the only plus it had and failed in every other regard. Obsidian for 4 would be great but let's not go there. This isn't a BGS Vs. Obsidian devs topic.

Me buying Fallout 4 vs Skyrim as a Fallout fan is a given. I'm a TES player since Arena but not a fan. I'd eventually buy Skyrim for fun though.

As it is(Right now, which is just TES V on Nov 11) I'll buy Skyrim but not at launch probably as other games like the excellent Deus Ex: HR(This is how you keep true to a series. Third core Deus Ex vs. Third core Fallout. Eidos Montreal blew BGS sky high) will keep me busy.

But who knows. Launch or not I'll eventually buy, play, and have fun with the already imperfect Skyrim. It won't get my vote for GOTY or RPGOTY though. It's reserved for the descendant of System Shock. And I'm not talking about Bioshock.

I have certainly put more hours into FO3 and New Vegas than I did Oblivion. If I was forced to choose for some reason, I would probably go for Fallout 4. That series really hasn't disappointed me with any of its titles so far. However, I would simply get both in reality.

Skyrim is my pick, Fallout 4 would probably have the same mistakes as Fallout 3/New Vegas.

Fallout would be as an ant next to the mammoth that is Skyrim... Though honestly, I toned that description down so I wouldn't sound so dramatic. Fallout is fine, but in my world, that series will never come even remotely close to the level of an Elder Scrolls game. There is simply no contest for me.

It's mostly because of the environment. I love greens and blues, so I find the dusty world of Fallout to be boring at best, miserable at worst (and not in a good way).

Skyrim.

Even though F3 and NV were good games, i really prefer 1 and 2 part of Fallout to them. And i guess F4 would be the same as F3/NV
