does not appear to be a screen from the 1280x720 console version of Oblivion. Look at how defined the texture of the log is. It seems to be a higher res screen from PC.
All of the Skyrim screens are 1280x720 Xbox screens with quite low res textures, low quality shadows, very low AA, if any, and no AF at all

Also seems very unlikely. Look at the detail on the knight's armor. the dimensions of that pic are native 1536x864. As you can see in the pic of the Giant above it, when you stretch a 1280x720 image to that resolution, you lose a great deal of image quality. By contrast, the armor of the knight shows very high resolution textures, in excess of what you see on the console version of Oblivion.
It seems that these pics were taken from 1600x900 PC Oblivion with high detail settings, high res textures, etc., perhaps even some graphics mods installed. Attempting to compare them with the 1280x720 screens of Skyrim with low res textures, low quality shadows, no AF, perhaps 2xAA, is not a fair comparison
