skyrim and the girlfriend.....

Post » Wed Aug 03, 2011 2:19 pm

Well, she knows that I like to play video games and sometimes she even plays on my PS3. But she definately won't play Skyrim and I'm sure that she wouldn't mind me playing it. She has a priority anyway :)

should probably change this to girlfriend/boyfriend/spouse..actually just say significant other to not discriminate :P. anyways my gf just started playing oblivion she kinda enjoys it(her little sisters enjoy it more) but its a bit outdated graphically wise that she cant get into it(gets put off by the goofy faces), her dad made her play ever quest as a kid and its all she ever compares games to..sigh. shes not at all excited for skyrim though and knows i am and is lovingly helping me get through the hard waiting time :)

If she cant get into it because of the graphics, I am very sad with the kind of people we are breeding as a society.

Where do you meet these people? Any girlfriend I have had hates the fact that I am a gamer. It doesn't dominate my life it's a hobby . But seriously in Colorado I don't think gamer girls exist especially in Boulder! I digress...It would be cool to play it with them!

Some times they grow on it, my friends and I used to get together and play halo drink and have a good time after a few months we finally convinced her to pick up the controller and play a game or two and ever since she's been playing too. Women are less drawn to games, and you must remember above all else that their needs always come first or you will be single for a long long time.

My wife never heard of The Elder Scrolls. She is a newly married bride from Africa and she still calls my Xbox 360 a 'playstation.'

I keep trying to explain it to her, she just puts it down and refuses to embrace the greatness that is Skyrim. She's never played a video game in her life bare in mind, so I don't think I'm going to be able to change her opinion on this one.

Though as I'm currently at University, I have finally found a benefit to the long-distance relationship. I can now play Skyrim as much as I like without being disturbed!

My girlfriend is almost as excited for it as I am. I got her into Morrowind and Oblivion and she has put 250 hours into an Oblivion character recently.

Mine has been playing The Quest (Daggerfall clone for iPhone) for about a year now, but a lot of that has to deal with convenience. Plays it on breaks at work and when she's trying to fall asleep. So I have no doubt she'd be interested in it if she got the chance, but I'd have to lug my Xbox up to her dorm for the weekend. Which I might do.

Well...if you do have trouble deciding (seems like you've made up your mind) get her a gift card to a day spa. GF happy, and you have the day to yourself.

Honestly id rather take the cash lol, though if you just give her a card with money/gift card in it, it could be taken as if you just got lazy and didn't put alot of effort into her gift.
