So I know there won't be an arena in the game, which is kinda disappointing but considering the awesomeness the rest of the game seems to be offering it hasn't really bothered me.
But don't you think it would have been awesome for some kind of arena type quest to be in Skyrim, I would have enjoyed a more grittier and brutal depiction of an arena in Skyrim, it could have been like an underground scummy place or something high up on a mountain (think of the possibilities of having an edgeless arena you could shield bash your opponents off of Spartacus style).

I have a feeling it could be a DLC possibility.

I did find the arena in OB to be a little lacking, but I feel like they could have improved on it rather than cut it.

Also wondering why you'd want something gone that you never had to do in the first place? Plus the arena was one of the best things in Oblivion IMO. I'll cry myself to sleep now.

As long as they focused their time on creating a good game I'm not sad to see it gone, I don't think it was that popular anyway, I only took an interest when a mod enhanced it by increasing the crowd, a dozen NPC spectators did not make it feel much like an arena, CDProjekt Red has just released an arena add on for the Witcher 2, and it's free!

Yes, I'd like to see a DLC that has the people of Skyrim constructing dirt pits for combat games and progressing up to medium size outdoor stadium style arenas. Nothing like the Roman coliseum mind you but smaller more practical wood and earth structures. There could also be several different types of games such as One on one, team matches and even a gauntlet style obstacle course. Betting on the side too like Oblivion.

You're probably right lol. I can understand indifference, but to enjoy completely optional features being cut makes no sense.

Optional feature, or not, it still takes dev time and resources. I'm happy they were allocated elsewhere. That should clarify my last comment. BTW, majority voted that they don't care that it's not in. They probably feel the same way.

I love the arena and all but I could honestly care less I feel this game is going to offer so much more then the last one. I also think if they do come out with a DLC Arena that would be cool to but the Arena got real old quick it really was not challenge at all to began with.

me and my friend are pretty upset about no arena =[ im fine with it but my friends not takin it so well o.O

Except that's still a minority. If you count the two pro arena selections they out vote the two anti arena choices.
