That's mammoth dung. It's on the list because it was officially released in 2011 and it's an excellent game. I'm not saying it's game of the year, and I actually don't even play minecraft, but I've seen minecraft youtube vids that made me go: "oh wow, that's pretty awesome".

Or maybe a solid game with a solid interface and solid stability trumps a buggy, terribly interfaced game full of balance issues and exploits.

Witcher 2 SHOULD win RPG & GOTY but it won't. Skyrim will get them considering they were considered GOTY before it was even released. Actually of those 5, Skryim would be 5th. Even then I would put Arkham Asylum & AC Revelations above Skyrim

I find it kinda funny how Skyrim is the best PC game of the year, yet only the 4th best RPG... losing too two games that don't really have all that much RPG in them, certainly less then skyrim... tho skyrim 3rd on story is a bit of a joke, skyrim's story svcks. Sorry, but Skyrim does not have a better storyline then Portal 2, just not buying, more so consider that I have completed both games.

Minecraft was only officially released in November, everything previous to that is considered Beta. So Minecraft technically is entered for awards this year, the year of it's official release.

Um...that's just a list...it's not in order. They don't do rank. The winners haven't been annoucned yet.

No way should Skyrim win best RPG with DX:HR and Witcher 2 in that category, and no way should it win GOTY with Minecraft and Portal 2 in that category.

TES' main selling point is the amount of hours you can lose in it; it never competes on story or actual gameplay with most other comparable games- you can lose more in Minecraft.

Besides, while I love the game it shouldn't be winning any awards for PC - it's not a PC game. It's a port with a better draw distance.
