Is Skyrim to big or to dense?

Post » Tue Sep 27, 2011 11:41 am

I'm not saying it's a bad thing but 150 dungeons is actully 150 ?levels? so it's actully take forever to explore all of skyrim outside world and all of the dungeons.
Oblivion was a big game but was to much, now I hear that that in every corner of skyrim there something to do, Pete and Todd stated thAt skyrim is the craziest game they ever made and is the biggest in terms of denseity, Pete said it's something like x5 the amount of fallout 3 side quests Add that there are random generated quest system (for example a npc got lost in the woods and ask you to escort him)
There is some underwater stuff. Like caves. Unknown number of towns forts camps

I didn't even mention the mainstory quests.

How can we have the time to do all that?!

You don't have to do all that. That's like... one of the pillars that the TES series stands on. Do what you want. Don't do what you don't want.

Hey atleast TES games are worth the money. 1000+ hours of gameplay rather than maybe 50 in some silly random game.

120-150 dungeons...

So thats why some things like blocking with dual-wielding and weapons degrading over time were left out, Bethesda were busy wasting time adding too many dungeons that will most likely never be fully explored.

/sarcasmoff

BUT one of the things I really hate about role-playing games is not having anything left to do after you have finished everything (remember playing epic games such as final fantasy, defeating all the optional challenges and then just wondering around doing nothing? Or how about in Fable where you would just stay in the same few places fighting endlessly right before facing the final boss Jack of Blades?)

So the more content the better (but I would have been happy with just 50 different dungeons thats for sure).

Its an open rpg game, you can do all the quests you want, you are not forced to do all of them, "You write your history", the more adventures you do in skyrim, the more stories you can tell your grandsons when you are old =]

If you don't have time to play, don't.

I swear to Talos, if they ever cut content because "fans have been telling us the games feel too big," I will find you. And I will do things to you.

to big, or to dense? that is the question.

Hehe, that's what I was thinking :)

To Skyrim, or not to Skyrim? That is the question.

(the proper vocabulary is "too", for those who are not native English speakers)

:lmao:

Skyrim will never be too big or too dense for my taste. As for the dense part I have a good feeling the game is going to be somewhat similar to Risen in regard to content and landscape.
