Yeah I've been collecting and reading whatever rare or semi-rare books I can find. Just finished "The Black arrow" series, quite awesome.
Loved that book, I really am suprised at the quality of the lit in the Elder Scrolls series. The makers have made an effort even with the frikin' books.

Beggar, Thief, Warrior, and King are some of my favorites. I'm trying to find all of them but I only have the first two. I'm trying to collect as many Songs of the Return that are in the game.

I always read books i find every page because they can tell you about what has happened here like i found a dead hunter and he had notes like day 3: those noises are gettnig closer...

day 4: they sound like sabre cats not to bad i guess... and he's dead in his bedsheets with a sabre cat by him (alive so be careful)

You get it after you become the Archmage.

I found the Wolf Queen v1 in Broken Fang Cave. But if you want to avoid vampires, here's a link to all the locations: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:The_Wolf_Queen,_v1

I'm not sure I had a key; I was just able to open the bookcases after I became Archmage. I think I retrieved one random book for him first, but I'm not sure.

My favorite book was Night Falls on Sentinel. I forgot where I found it though, but it's a skill book.

Isn't that the one you find in the bandit camp to the south and east of Helgen?

I always loved books about Daedra (especially Sheogorath) and some other book which provide information about the history of Tamriel. The one I really regret is that you can only place 11 book on the bookshelf via inventory, The rest must be placed manually. I also keep all journals and notes I found in one chest. Sadly, I still can't find any mod to write book like the one in Oblivion. Anyone got link for the mod?

I look through pretty much every book I come across. I'm partial to ones about Daedric Princes and fictional tales like the Woodcutter's Wife, Cabin in the Woods, The Locked Room, etc. but now I just look through all of them because can't get enough lore.

I'd like to make a personal donation to the book club.

Everybody will get a copy of The Doors of Oblivion, I have huge stockpiles for some reason.

Nice topic. I'm an avid reader myself, it's one of my Skyrim rituals; at nightfall, find an inn, rent a room, have a seat, eat and drink something and then read a good book before going to sleep.

My favorite is Whitershins, very funny. Last night in The Winking Skeever I found a book I hadn't seen before, about a mage from the College who went to live with Draugr for six months to study them. Some people are crazy!

Recently re-read Legend of Krately House. Add that to the creepy-spooky books next to the Woodcutter's Wife and The Cabin in the Woods.

Great thread. Just found Wolf Queen v1 last night in the cave where they pit fight and gamble on the wolves (The Rift).

I try and read one book each time I find a place to sleep at night (in game).

.... wish there was a checklist feature so I know which books I already have. Maybe included with one of the houses which has a lot of bookshelves, although most would consider that a waste of development time.)
Yes I want a Books Checklist too !!!!!

Some of my favorites are, Wolf Queen series, Chance's Folly, and The Black Arrow.

I also like reading the journals people write that you find, telling about their lives.

My favorite book series in Skyrim is Beggar, Thief, King! Also, I think the http://www.imperial-library.info/ is a great way to appreciate TES books.

I just found Ice and Chitin today for the first time. I haven't had a chance to read it yet though. I can't rememer what it was called, but I really liked the story about the couple whose little girl gets sick and they're told to take her to a Mages Guild to heal her. But, it turns out that they've taken their daughter to a Necromancer coven instead of a Mages guild so it kind of ends badly for them and their daughter. I liked it because it referenced some of the events and characters of Oblivion, which I thought was kind of cool.

Will edit with the recent book I just found. But some hella good reads are The Falmer: A Study and Words of Clanmother Anissi (if you haven't read it, go find it..)

My Nord literally has prolly near 300 books between Whiterun and Windhelm. I've collected so many and I'm even at the point where I just outright Steal a book if it's really interesting. ( Like the two above, :D )

Great book, love the ending heh.

I love the fiction stories like that one, here's a few favorites of mine I haven't seen mentioned:

http://www.imperial-library.info/content/marksmanship-lesson

http://www.imperial-library.info/content/palla - make sure not to skip ahead to the ending... don't ruin it for yourself.

http://www.imperial-library.info/content/rear-guard

http://www.imperial-library.info/content/silence

http://www.imperial-library.info/content/locked-room

There are many others but I'll stop there. Those should keep you occupied for a bit.
