Skyrim vs Borderlands 2

Hey guys! I am currently doing an A2 Media Course at my school. The topic i chose for this course was "What are the generic similarities between Borderlands 2 and Skyrim?"

It would be a great help if you guys could help out a bit and answer a few questions purely based on your opinion:
1.What base genre do Skyrim and Borderlands 2 share?
2.Which out of the two games do you think have been more successful and why?
3.If you could request improvements for either game, what would it be?
4. Which one do you think gives the player more freedom in terms of roaming, missions and inventory?
5. Which of the bartering systems from the two games do you prefer and why?
6. What makes Skyrim stand out as a game?
7. What makes Borderlands 2 stand out as a game?
8. Which do you find more addictive?
9. Which one annoys you the most and why?
10. Are there any other games that are similar to either of these games?
11. Do you think the soundtrack of a game can increase popularity? Give reasons for your answer!

It will be really appreciated if you guys could comment sooner rather than later! Thanks!!! :D

Now now, no need for that. He's not being rude, so what gives you the right to be...?

Besides, if you'd have actually bothered to read the thread, you'd see that he wanted answers based on our opinions. He isn't cheating and asking for facts.

Anyway, I'll answer the questions.

1. Erm... Probably action RPG? Although Borderlands 2 far less so.

2. I'd say Skyrim was far more successful because of the hype after the successes of its predecessors. The internet was (and still is) all over Skyrim.

3. Well I'm not sure for Borderlands 2. What little I played was really really good. Skyrim, well, there's a list. A big list. I'll just say better combat, stories (especially in the guilds) and cities/ people that properly represent Skyrim.

4. Easily Skyrim.

5. Skyrim's system is really simple, but so is Borderlands. No preference.

6. The amazing scale, exploration and lore. It also looks pretty.

7. It doesn't take itself seriously. Too many game developers think "OKAY GUYS WE NEED TO BE SUPER SERIAL TO PEOPLE WILL LOVE THIS AWESOME EXPLOSIONY GAME." and it saps all fun out of it. Borderlands is a cluster[censored] of stupidity, hyperactivity and craziness.

8. Skyrim is more addictive for me because I just get completely immersed and because it's a single continuous experience you tend to go from one thing to another before realizing you've been doing that for hours.

9. Well Skyrim's characters are almost all dikes, while Borderland's characters are, well, the same. Also, Skyrim is literally the buggiest game I've ever played. But with more pizzazz. But other than that, neither really annoy me.

10. Well, the other Elder Scrolls games are like Skyrim, and Borderlands is similar to Borderlands 2. Other than that, I don't think any other games in their genre's have much on the two. They're very unique as far as I know.

11. The soundtrack for Skyrim was amazing, and I heard it ages before the release of the game. Borderlands 2 used catchy popular songs, which made the game sound far more fun. The two trailers Doomsday and Wimoweh were amazing, IMO. They made me steal the game off my friend actually. But Skyrim's soundtrack is recogniseable because the 'Dragonborn' track which we all know (main theme) is a different version of the main theme of Oblivion and Morrowind, which used the same tune.
