After having read it now, I can comment on it.

While it did bring a smile to my face, it struck me as a rather snarky jab at anyone that didn't think the game was perfect.

Meh. A good April Fool's joke can't be obvious, and this was so obvious that the anagram of April Fool (Polar Foil) at the end can only be considered overkill. I don't necessarily think the jab was uncalled for, but it was way too obvious to elicit more than a smirk.
