skyrim's civil war

I read something the other day that Skyrim takes place during a civil war and this made me think, does that mean if you are liked in one town or city does that mean you'll be hated in others? Maybe it will be like the Rebels and the Government type war. Anyways I was wonder what are your guys thoughts on this?

I don't think that's an impossibility. As I understand it from reading the GI mag, it sounds like you start out as a prisoner again. Maybe you start out as a prisoner of one side of the civil war. Just a thought.

true, but then you are stuck on one side of the civil war. There is very little room for role playing then.

i personally liked that of fallout. it makes you think of the consequences and changes up the gameplay on multiple runthroughs of the game.
