Skyrim Collector's Edition?

Post » Fri Jul 16, 2010 1:21 pm

An apology letter for all of the features that won't be as great as they made them out to be or decided to take out completely.

Optimism. I like it :goodjob:

I'd pay for something similar to this - http://www.videogamesblogger.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/the-witcher-2-special-collectors-edition-screenshot.jpg :celebration:

Nice now that's how you do a collector's edition!

With a nice Nordic Battle Axe, or at least a Nordic Fur Helm. :)

my girlfriend is very reasonable and is all for me playing games when something decent comes out, but I think when games start getting combined with naff plaster cast heads for putting in the house, that's when I am pushing my luck.

It doesn't matter what's in it, I'll buy it. Just take my damn money, Bethesda!

A miniature Daedric Shrine would be cool.

But even more annoying are the posts about the posts about the posts...

Redundant post is redundant.

Redundant thread is redundant.

Sure, why not totally screw over the people who just want to buy the regular game and get the whole bloody game?

Damn, not what I meant :(
What I meant was that the collector edition should have a real-life replica of an in game item.

Cloth map
Figure of a Dragon
Extra DVD
Pocket guide
Awesome box

Any combination of those are good enough to me. Though I wouldn't mind a surprise either.

i just want at least an art book (including all concept art and some of the character/creature/item renders with descriptions and notes about them), some behind the scenes dvd's, soundtrack maybe. a cool map, possibly some game content (though i doubt they will) and maybe something from the game like an amulet/coin/other

I want a replica Elder Scroll.

That'd be the best collector edition thing EVER.

edit: Oh and the box a crazy detailed replica of Alduin's Wall :P

Wow. My mistake. I skimmed over the 'real life' bit. Really, sorry

Still, that conflicts with my intense hatred for figurines and the way they bulk out the case unnecessarily :P

Statuettes of dragons n stuff are kind of lame, no offence ppl :P I would much more like something that looks really cool and "TESish" but still gives you something to use in the game. For example, I would love it if you got like a book, written in the language of the dragons, containing riddles and clues to things in game, like weapons, spells, power, houses and so on. So you have to translate it in order to figure out the location!

Also, a poster is never wrong, like a map or something :)

:woot: I would love something like that! Even if it didn't relate directly to something ingame, having something (maybe a short story/poem) to translate would be brilliant.

I'd like an art book and "making of" DVD. Don't care about ornaments or trinkets. A nice map would be good too.

I will pay whatever they want for whatever they put in there.

Unless there's a [censored] figurine.

Nooo! I WANT the figurine. The Ordinator atop my computer screen greets me with, "We're watching you... scum" every morning.

My biggest interest is in artwork books. The bigger, the better. I would also like an unconventional shape and/or material for the box. Leather maybe. Something that reminds me of Skyrim instantly. Could be like a leather/fur bag with a collar of animal teeth hanging.

I just want one thing.
A big book of Lore that has everything in it.
I think that would be perfect for the CE.

As most famous/big games i guess there will be a collector's edition for Skyrim. In the Oblivion we got the pocket guide, making of DVD and the Imperial Septim Coin.
What do you hope you'll get in Skyrim Collector's Edition ( If there is one)?

I would be VERY surprised AND dissapointed if they didnt do a collectors edition, they will make a lot more money if they do a collectors edition. I cannot begin to imagine what they will put in the edition, it couldnt be a figurine cos who the hell could they do a figurine of without spoiling something. They will most likely do something in-game and a physical collectors item (it better be awesome)

Something as awesome as the Daggerfall letter opener, definitely.

Dagger sized Umbra replica, or Goldbrand? :D

Definitely a map, preferably cloth but since we haven't had one of those in two game I don't think it will happen.

I'd take a statuette for sure.

I'll be buying the CE regardless.

i'd like some sort of artifact whether life sized or not. Perhaps a miniature daedric claymore or other weapon, an artifact dragon skull, a stone wall plaque thats a replica of the wall from the announcement trailer, or a cheeky plaque with miniature versions of weapons we wanted but never got (spear, crossbow, throwing axes and reins to represent a dragon mount )

if they choose to release it, maybe a legendary edition like halo 3 and having a life sized dragon bone helmet

edit: oops! someone beat me to the mini-sword letter opener idea! doh!
