Post » Wed Oct 19, 2011 2:19 pm

I have not seem any info on an install for the consoles.... I am wondering I buy a 4 gb xbox just for Skyrim, forza, gears and Alan wake....will a 4 gb be ok? I will not be playing online at all or downloading anything....... Plus do you need xbox live to get patches and firmwares?

No, the base game will probably be more than 4gig. so if you want to install it will not be nearly enough.

Oh my... Uhm my copy of Shadowrun, which is a tiny, tiny game was 4.2 gigs. So Skyrims probably pushing around 8 or 9 because oblivion was 6.7 for me
Edit: The 4 gigs are HUGE wates of money btw. Just get the 250 or an old pro with 120 or 60. 4 gigs cant support one of those games...

They cannot get the RROD, however, the new vent ports can cause a problem with dust gathering. My last model almost fried itself because of apparent dust buildup (dunno how, I keep the area around it clean) by creating an extra circuit the system had no idea what to do with.

The slim versions can't red ring because they have no red LED lights.

i myself will be installing the game to my 120GB hard drive immediately. 4 GB's won''t be enough, buy at least a 60GB or 120G

To add, I would look into a $20 intercooler, closes up one of the vents somewhat, but keeps the system cool as a whole.

EDIT - Dang it, thought I hit the edit button. -.-

I have heard the black ones those are slim I think, are more reliable yes, I have went through like 5, white 360s the first ones and only 2 PS3's both bought at same time. I rarely save my games to the 360 HD unless I download them though I normally just play off disk. Actually I ended up downloading a new copy of Oblivion for my 360 cause my old disk got scratched and it runs horribly now. Should of just got a GOTY one at the store maybe. I'm sure it takes up way more than 4 gbs I know Oblivion does but thats also with all DLC too.

I still have my first 60 gb fat PS3 from 2007 and still going strong though I just swapped out the HDD to a 250gb. A 4gb Xbox would not good good enough for Skyrim alone.

Wait I have the original Xbox. Does that mean I'll need to purchase a new harddrive if I don't have more than like 4 gigs left of space?

The slim is immune to getting the red rings of death. Then why would they add red lights.

Exactly. . . they didn't
