Skyrim is crashing every 2-10 minuets

Post » Mon Aug 18, 2014 7:05 am

I have skyrim legendary edition and since something like a month from the moment i was starting to use mod the game began to crush.

after that,i checked my last report and it told me that i have 10 dirty files,i cleaned all of them using TES5edit and opened up the report again.its still shown me 10 dirty files.

than,i clicked on sort load order, after this i checked again my report and now there is only 1 dirty file. but the game still crashing every 2-10 minuets.

i have no idea what to do i cant play the game.

thanks

(Sorry if there any grammar mistakes)

It sure sounds like one of your mods is not running well. If you can launch the game and play for a period of time then if you do something to trigger the mod it crashes.

I'd start turning off mods that allow you to turn them off. As you probably know some mods can't be turned of or uninstalled without leaving a mark on your game.

Good luck.

MIght want to just try an earlier save first. See what that does. It could be save corruption. Always remember to make new manual saves along the way to help protect against this.

If you are going to try disabling mods, do not overwrite any saves while they are disabled. Don't load autosaves either.

Out of curiosity, what mods are you using? They could be way out of date with the updates if your using an old enough mod.

Could you give us a list of your mods and plugins with the load order?

There maybe something obvious in that info. It might save you some troubleshooting time.

Read above posts too.....

You always want to create new manual saves. Don't rely on quicksaves and autosave alone. Also don't overwrite the same manual save.

Save corruption can happen suddenly. You can try the backup quicksave.

Backup your saves folder: C:\.......\Documents\My Games\Skyrim\Saves

Then go into it and find "quicksave.ess.bak"

Delete "quicksaves.ess" and simply delete the .bak portion from the other file. Start the game and try to load the quicksave.

Also is there a pattern to how the game crashes. Does it always happen at a certain location. Does it happen only at load screens. Only happens when facing a type of monster or entering combat.
