Skyrim Customization

Disclaimer: The reason I am making this thread is because I have always been a firm supporter of Western RPGs, for one reason Customizable Characters. A lot of JRPGs force you down a linear path and to force you to be a certain character. I am the type of person whom loves to create and write, I am artitistic and like to build the many characters that surface in my head. Customization and character customization is extremely important to me because I am a dreamer and am always dreaming up ideas and characters in my head. Western RPGs have always been the way I could visualize these characters. Skyrim's customization has been a big tug and pull battle with me because I am not getting what I want. I'm having the very same problem people had with Oblivion's customization. It's odd that in Oblivion I was able to make exactly what I wanted and finish the game. But with Skyrim, I'm never completely satisified with the character because it isn't exactly what I wanted.

Skyrim should have incorporated the things they learned from Oblivion and Fallout into it's customization. They pulled a lot of attention and detail away from the customization. In Skyrim's it's basically fixing up a preset. Much in the way Dragon Age 2 forced you to just fix Hawke the preset up. You're fixing Dragonborn the preset up. And it takes away from it being "my adventure" and "my character's adventure".

I also made this thread because yet again I'm trying to make a decent enough character for myself.

I finally figured out what's wrong with the customization. Several times before people complained about the Skyrim's customizable presets to be to old and to ugly. A lot of people have suggested using complexion to fix the age issue, but it feels more like the "Way to go making your character look less dirty" feature than an actual complexion. Even if you go to the "youngest" feature there are still issues with it. And I figured out a few of them:

-Wrinkles under the eyes make the characters look older

-Deep nasal lines [ a problem Fallout 3 also had, you're suppose to be 19 and you end up look 40 because the nasal lines those the "laugh lines" are to deep. Younger people wouldn't have such pronounce nasal lines]

-Wrinkled faces [even after I fixed the complexion for my Dark Elf he ended up still having a wrinkly face]

Now these are the issues I have seen with male presets. The female presets don't actually have this problem, it's easier to make a younger or older looking woman it appears.

Have you checked Skyrim Nexus (http://www.skyrimnexus.com) for the improved faces there ? Might help. I liked the way my Woof Elf male looks so I haven't looked at them.

He wants the ABILITY to make younger males - males that are "20" actually look 40.

I wanted Skyrim to merge Oblivion and Fallout together when it comes to customization. I want more options in customization.
