Skyrim+Cyrodiil?

Post » Mon Nov 29, 2010 12:09 am

Think about it, travelling back to imperial city, seeing all the new changes, the impression the last hero had on the world. It would be fantastic but probably not going to happen, ever. Unless modders decide to merge Oblivion and Skyrim somehow...

If any other province should be included I would much prefer High Rock. Orsinium anyone?

I don't think traveling to Cyroddiil is necessary. But it would be nice if some of the events of Oblivion are mentioned somehow.

Not gonna happen. Too many legal issues.

I'd rather they focus on Skyrim for now.

I think other provinces (or at least parts of them) could be brought in as a part of an expansion or DLC of sorts. I don't know if something as large as Cyrodiil would be feasible though in the form of an expansion or DLC, but I could definitely see something like Solstheim be featured.

Maybe we should be able to visit part of the Morrowind mainland in a DLC?

meh ive had my fill of Cyrodil, i'd prefer if they spent more time developing Skyrim than cyrodil again :P
but maybe being able to travel around the northern part of it, like into Bruma could be a sweet DLC or expansion or something. id definitely like being able to go back to Solsthiem though, that would be a sweet DLC

Cyrodiil would be kind of boring, if you ask me. Its lack of real natural borders means you'd kind of have to cover the entire province as well, in which case I'd much rather see bordering parts of Morrowind or High Rock.

Actually, here's an idea - how about we make the Imperial City revisitable in the fashion of Mournhold? The city would be enclosed so you wouldn't be able to venture out, but I'd love to see Bethesda re-envision the city on a larger scale, more truthful to the original PGE description.

YES! It should also be improved and NOT copy and paste.

I'd rather see Morrowind or Summerset Isles in a DLC than Cyrodiil.

No, Skyrim should be Skyrim.

(But damn that last option was tempting...heheheh)

No. All TES games so far have been defined in their scopes and such.

I want Bethesda getting this game polished and out 11-11-11, not succumbing to feature creep.

I hate Cyrodiil from the bottom of my heart, absolutely no! Modders will make such mods anyway but clear game from Beth should be Skyrim only. That's tradition.

No, I would rather them make all of Skyrim in good detail, which is a fairly big providence so if they add Cyrodil they would prolly leave out some of Skyrim.

Nah, the whole idea is that Skyrim is a new place. I don't really want to get distracted from that by visiting an old one.

I think that yes, Skyrim should be Skyrim, but they should let you have mini-quests in which you can go to another province just for this quest and just in a certain small area of this province.

Like in Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, how you can send your assassins to quests in Lisbon or other countries, just that in Skyrim it would be you actually going to "Lisbon or other countries", every time that I was listening to rumors in Oblivion I always though to myself: "svcks I couldn't be there to see it..." or "svcks I couldn't help..." etc. :P

Maytbe when they have done games from all of these provinces what exist in tamriel. After that they should do a one big game what includes all of these places in one (huge) map.

If they have resources to add in Cyrodiil, then make Skyrim bigger.

Go play Arena... you have entire Tamriel there.
And why can't people already understand that making entire Tamriel with this level of detail (required for games in this age) is IMPOSSIBLE!

(Not you personally)

Why do you want provinces? Do you expect gamesas to go bankcrupt and not make another game?

Sumerset Isle, Valenwood, High Rock.

Leave these alone for future games. :sadvaultboy:

Because people have no understanding of what's involved in level design. They think that with a snap of their fingers, the whole continent can be created. The reality of it is that it's much like painting a picture with a 40 square kilometer canvas.
