Skyrim Daily Challenges?

Post » Thu Sep 01, 2011 1:08 am

I've read over what a moderator said in appealing to more casual gamers and it's true...... Some of them have a hard time finding a purpose to play, but players like us can make our own story and that's what separates us. So my idea is to provide 5 or so daily challenges like kill a wolf or destory x amout of monsters in a cave or even something as simple as talk to "this" character.

Kind of like what halo reach did. Providing little rewards or xp towards things so players feel they have some challenges because they have such a hard time figuring out what to do next. I'm saying this because I have some casual player friends and they think it's a good idea.

What do you guys think?

This. TES just isn't that kind of game.

Besides radiant story should do a good job of giving us random 'daily' quests to do, they'll also be more varied and tailored towards your character than just 'kill X amount of creatures'.

I actually like the idea, although I would prefer if the challenges were more along the lines of Red Dead Redemption's challenges.

Nope, I don't like the idea. I will stick to small random missions in Skryim instead of that.

Hopefully this is along the lines of what they do after you become master of a guild. It was confirmed that guilds will have more post-involvement than oblivion

What they said ^^. I understand that game companies take inspiration from other game companies games, but some things only work/don't work at all with some games, what would be the point in the challenges? To be rewarded bonus xp? Bad idea if youi ask me, you are just asking to get to the highest level in the shortest space of time, plus people boosted the challenges and disconnected their internet to be able to do the challenged over and over. With radiant story, there is no need for this kind of thing, even if there was no radiant story I still wouldn't want it.
