Skyrim Day! A world-wide festival.

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 5:08 am

Actually I was referring to the possibility of an incoming Oblivion vs Morrowind argument. They're always fun.

Speaking of which, I vote that each Skyrim day should hold an argument on the boards over which TES game is the best. Naturally this will boil down to Morrowind vs Skyrim, with some grumpy old timers in the corner muttering about how none of us youngsters have lived until we've played Daggerfall, and the lone Seti banging on about how Oblivion was a good game (with no one listening).

Yeah, that should be fun :twirl:

I'll bite, no it certainly was not a better game than Morrowind, sure it was 100% a good game, noone says differently (at all,I tihnk xD) but Morrowind was a way better experience.

I started the elderscrolls with BOTH morrowind and Daggerfall at roughly the same time. They both are amazing games and really shaped how I saw the world of Tamriel. But something about Daggerfall just appealed to me a little more. I dunno why.

I mean in the end, what makes a game great is how often you come back to play it, and I do often come back to playing Morrowind, and Oblivion, but I have never really stopped playing Daggerfall.

Now of course, I got my hands on Arena for the first time, and I am having tons of fun with that one. :goodjob:

I can't comment on daggerfall, never got furtherthan 1 hour or so, the combat controls kills it for me :/

And with these post, the greatness of the Breatons have decreed that every Skyrim day festival to honor it's predecessors hold "Heated Debates" on which Elder scrolls was indeed the best as the opening Festivity!

So be it! By decree of the Breatons, the world shall have popcorn at all of the Skyrim day festivals!

That's fine, as long as there is lots of pork and mead. Need to find some good scalds too. Nothing like some heroic tales around the hearth, with a wench on your lap. heh

You aren't probably even going to remember when Skyrim was released other than "I think it was somewhere in the end of 2011" after couple of years have passed.
To celebrate a release of a game we don't know much about is pretty damn silly at this point, unless Skyrim can cure at least 5 types of cancer and rid the world of poverty and hunger.

lol come on now. You shouldn't take everything so seriously :P this thread should obviously be a "fun" and "not so serious" thread, so lighten up and have fun with it. SO DECREES THE ALMIGHTY BREATONS!

Who are the 14 people saying "No the game is going to be bad"? Honestly how is it going to be bad if it is just improving majorly on what is almost perfect?

For what we could release an Expansion(Either little like Mehrunes Razor or big like Shivering Isles)

Minstrels, Dancing, and a bard to recount the hero's deeds and how they saved Tamriel.

Let it be so! By decree of the mighty Breatons, there shall be Minstrels, Beautiful Dancing wenches, and epic telling bards, from this day forth at every Skyrim Day Festival!

I vote for not *EVERY* day, but a release party on 11/11/11 would be pretty cool.

Heck, Mozilla users do that on each major Firefox release, and it's only a petty web browser.

The mighty Breatons have been decided "From this day forth we decree that every Skyrim Day Festival must be held in the language of Dova, if you don't speak the language you must pay the translator fee and translators will be provided."

Most definitely.

I don't think there is anything else I will be thinking of on 11/11 anyway, so it becomes a Skyrim Day by default for me.

Anyone speaking English in the GameStop at the mid-night release should be sent to very back of the line!

I didn't "just notice". I just delayed responding until now.

What's a 'Breaton' then? Let's see you try to squirm out of this typo.
