Ofcourse! We should sell fake Nord beards for everyone unbearded (including women and children) to make sure that the proper "feel" for the festival is withheld! Long live Skyrim!

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn,
At the going down of the sun, and in the morning,
We will remember them.

In Canada, 11/11 is Remembrance Day, a day to remember the heroes who fought in World War II. Those who came back forever changed, and those who never did, and pay our respects for the sacrifices made by them and the families involved.

Although I await Skyrim with impatience, and I know I will love it as did Morrowind and Oblivion, I can't share such a day with a game-related holiday. Sorry to be so morbid, but enough people think the holiday is a joke, and just another excuse to get drunk and miss a work day as it is.

Edit: I type way too slow, Ninja'd is improper when I am involved methinks... more like "rogue'd" or "Agented"

11/11 commemorates the armistice between Germany and the Allies at the end of WWI.

20 million people died in that war.

I hope the latest decree helps alleviate your worry.

By decree of the Breatons, the world shall have popcorn at all of the Skyrim day festivals!

By decree of the Breatons every Skyrim day festival shall honor it's predecessors by holding "Heated Debates" on which Elder scrolls was indeed the best as the opening Festivity!

By decree of the mighty Breatons, there shall be Minstrels, Beautiful Dancing wenches, and epic telling bards, from this day forth at every Skyrim Day Festival!

"From this day forth we decree that every Skyrim Day Festival must be held in the language of Dova, if you don't speak the language you must pay the translator fee and translators will be provided."

HEAR YEE ALL! By Decree of the Mighty Breaton's those who keep the holiday known as remembrance day shall have have Skyrim day postponed to 11/12 of each year!
