Yeah now that I'm able to stand back and see how big the hype is, instead of joining it all like with Oblivion, it's pretty scary! :obliviongate:

Depends on if Skyrim somehow is better than Daggerfall and takes its place as my favorite Elder Scrolls Game off all time. Till then, I will withhold any opinions on the subject.

I can't believe people let themselves get shell shocked because it didn't pan out to their high expectations. Oblivion was still a good game, better than Morrowind for sure.

@Andric If Skyrim is truly better than Daggerfall, I will be happy beyond measure.

We can dream, can't we?

Honestly though, I do have high hopes for skyrim. High, yet realistic. I do believe its going to take its place as one of the best among the series. And of course every game is amazing in its own right. So this is saying something.

Actually I was referring to the possibility of an incoming Oblivion vs Morrowind argument. They're always fun.

Speaking of which, I vote that each Skyrim day should hold an argument on the boards over which TES game is the best. Naturally this will boil down to Morrowind vs Skyrim, with some grumpy old timers in the corner muttering about how none of us youngsters have lived until we've played Daggerfall, and the lone Seti banging on about how Oblivion was a good game (with no one listening).

Yeah, that should be fun :twirl:

all oblivion had on morrowind was the combat and roleplaying.

seeing 'bread has no effect on you' sort of saps immersion. Still, with graphics, immersion and landmass mods morrowind is so epic its silly.

Wait, wait, wait......a........Skyrim Day? In the game or in reality? Or on the forums? If in the game, would be neat. If a real festival your proposing..........then ummmm no. If just a forum thing then sure.

I'll bite, no it certainly was not a better game than Morrowind, sure it was 100% a good game, noone says differently (at all,I tihnk xD) but Morrowind was a way better experience.

I started the elderscrolls with BOTH morrowind and Daggerfall at roughly the same time. They both are amazing games and really shaped how I saw the world of Tamriel. But something about Daggerfall just appealed to me a little more. I dunno why.

I mean in the end, what makes a game great is how often you come back to play it, and I do often come back to playing Morrowind, and Oblivion, but I have never really stopped playing Daggerfall.

Now of course, I got my hands on Arena for the first time, and I am having tons of fun with that one. :goodjob:

Yeah, I could see why that got a lot of people disenchanted in it quickly. I modified them within the first five minutes so that they could play more like Morrowind did, so I didn't have to break my brain memorizing both drastically different controls while I was learning how to play both games at the same time. They are sort of counter intuitive, but hey. Once you get past them, there is a lot of game there.

Bethesda should've just kept there mouths shut. This hype is rediculous. We all know it's going to be a good game, but some of you are worshipping it.
