SKYRIM DEALBREAKERS

Post » Sat May 14, 2011 9:44 am

i was thinking about how cool this game is gonna be and then i thought about all of the bad stuff that could happen that would make me not buy the game.. a big one for me is the morrowind combat system how its done by percentage of a chance of a hit so you swing ten times and only three count..i hated that so much..other things like if it was too main stream and if there were no factions..stuff like that would make me not buy the game..obviously there is gonna be factions but you get the idea.. what are some deal breakers for you. if i get enough ideas ill make a poll

EDIT: when i say not by the game obviously we are all gonna by it and hopefully get through it once because i mean come on we are on the forums lol..but what stuff would make you stop playing it mid way through or not more than once

EDIT: i am adding this very late but it seems that PC gamers have a huge problem with STEAM.. i was just wondering why.. im not a PC gamer but i was just curious as to why STEAM is so bad..i know what it is just not familiar with it

Too mainstream?
Lulz.
I think that a LOT of things would have to happen to make me not play it.

A LOT.
One thing that would; my game snapping in half so it would be unplayable.
That's about it. A dedicated really devoted fan (like myself) plays the game and doesn't give a [censored] about the flaws.

I gonna play this game at least once probably, but something that might make me not finish it or not play it twice.:

Repetative/boring landscape, little immersion, and unsmooth game mechanics and animations for Magic, Stealth, and Combat.
and
No Rival Guilds, know that's a deal breaker

No spellmaking.
Bad level scaling.
Less weapons.

I might still rent the game, but not purchase it.

Welll, there is very little that would make me not play it. I mean I almost definitely would in any circumstance, but a game ruining feature would bu if they kept Oblivion's horrible level scaling and item scaling! Punished by gaining levels because of harderenemies and simultaneously punished for doing quests at lower levels! It's a lose lose situation. I know they've changed it, I only hope it's a VERY dramatic change. Different level enemies in different areas, preassigned please. And just put the higher level items in the harder areas.

I won't even post in this thread as it's so rediculous. If the world were ending, I would spend my final minutes playing this game. Nothing could stop me.

Did you even read the OP? It's asking what flaws could make you not want to play it. Those are flaws that if not in would make him not want to play it. He never says those flaws ARE in, just that if they were, it would ruin it.

The only reason why I wouldn't play the game much at first would be if the devs would totally screw up the beast races' appearance this time. And even that would be fixable with mods.

I'd have to be rendered into a state in which I had no control of my limbs to not get this game.

maybe not even then if I could get some jury-rigging done...

A couple things that would stop me from buying it is; COD:Skyrim. Or well, any influence in making it other than Bethesda.

As it stands now the only way I'm not getting Skyrim is if I happen to die before then.

If it still used Gamebryo that will probably be a deal breaker for me

i know they said they are using a "brand new engine" but it wouldn't be the first time a dev has lied

if it comes out and it turns out and it uses a slightly tweaked Gamebryo that they call brand new with the same problems as oblivion/fallout then my money will be going elsewhere

i know my post will not be popular but after all the crap Crytek & IW have pulled recently i cant really trust what a dev says till the game is out and in the hands of consumers

It's a completely overhauled Gamebryo engine with a new name, which does not tell you whether or not it is a bad or a good engine.
Deal broken?
