So much work has been put into this game and it truly is a masterpiece despite its bugs and glitches. It is such an expansive and intricate game compared to "normal" games these days, so I don't see why it's being treated with a "normal" amount of DLC. It amazes me to still see players on my friends list playing an exclusively single player game released in 2011; it is a testament to the game's longevity and worthiness of its acclaim.
To add, the game finally (somewhat recently) received a much needed update that allows users to infinitely level, as well as a Legendary difficulty... However, some users had completed all possible quests before that update even came out, putting to waste these awesome new features.
Bethesda should take back their claim that DLC support for Skyrim is over. Could they? Should they? I don't know if they could, but I believe they should. The game really, truly does deserve it, in my opinion.
