Skyrim deserves more DLC support.

So much work has been put into this game and it truly is a masterpiece despite its bugs and glitches. It is such an expansive and intricate game compared to "normal" games these days, so I don't see why it's being treated with a "normal" amount of DLC. It amazes me to still see players on my friends list playing an exclusively single player game released in 2011; it is a testament to the game's longevity and worthiness of its acclaim.

To add, the game finally (somewhat recently) received a much needed update that allows users to infinitely level, as well as a Legendary difficulty... However, some users had completed all possible quests before that update even came out, putting to waste these awesome new features.

Bethesda should take back their claim that DLC support for Skyrim is over. Could they? Should they? I don't know if they could, but I believe they should. The game really, truly does deserve it, in my opinion.

Yes/no?

Yes and Africans deserve more food. But that's not going to happen.

It does deserve it, but Microsoft charges them a hefty premium in the tens of thousands of dollars for quality assurance..

Don't they make it all back from sales though? I know that a ton of people buy Skyrim DLC because generally everyone who likes it feels very invested in it.

At this point I think I'm ready for Bethesda to move on to Fallout 4.

I don't think it's a problem. They sold 20 mln copies of Skyrim, I'm sure every DLC would make them more than enough money to pay whatever Microsoft's charging.

I'm leaning towards the theory that they had a more or less fixed budget for the DLC and they spent more than expected on PS3 support, so they wanted to avoid further complications.

In any case, there's exactly zero chance for another DLC: they moved on, they released the Legendary Edition and the final game guide, they're done. I wish Skyrim had received one more DLC, but this ship sailed long ago.

They moved on to their next project. Get over it.

New game's make more money then DLCs do, so its a business decision to move on, plus Im sure their team enjoys the change of pace, rather then sticking with the same thing for several years past its release.

I'd love them to, but it's not happening. It doesn't really bother me - Skyrim still has plenty of content and life.

Nah skyrim doesn't deserve more, it's fine the way it is.

But OMG there were still plenty of loose ends! And it'd be like *ugh* to not tie them all together. [/sarcasm]

No, Skyrim does not need more DLC, nor will there be more.

Despite knowing more DLC is likely to break the game for the consoles, and that I fully understand why BGS would prefer making a new game to doing DLC for an old one, I still voted Skyrim deserved more DLC. It is only natural I would want more Skyrim to play. We would buy it, and I am pretty sure there are still enough playing to make it profitable. They did build our expectations up, and seemed to be saying there would be more DLC after Dragonborn, and then turned around and said they were finished and were moving on. The Legendary options in the patch were nice, but they are not what I class as DLC.

If Bethesda were to release another DLC, it would sell and sell well.

They won't though, they are done. Finished. Onto the next project.

Admittedly it is a little easier to make peace with the above when you jump ship to PC... but still.

It's not a question of whether Skyrim deserved another DLC, but whether it was possible to contain the next logical step, in a DLC or two. I believe that step, was to be a 2nd Great War and Alinor (Summerset Isle).

If this was to be done right, it wouldn't fit in a DLC, or even an expansion. I'm not even sure if it would fit in a single game. So, instead of having something poorly developed, I'd rather read what happened from the lore, coming with TES VI.

Honestly, the game is SO massive now with the DLC that I think it's ok for them to move on to a new game.
