It all checks out except for Gears of War 3, and Rage. I mean who honestly gives a crap about them, they look terrible. Skyrim should have been in GoW's place.

GoW3 is one of my more anticipated games :)
Not so much rage though.

Who gives a damn? It's a fair bet Skyrim will top the list of games still being played when the rest of the above list are in the pre-owned section of Blockbuster.

Dumb name isn't it. No one really freaked out about it because it's Square Enix, and expected.

And let's face it guys, if no gameplay is going to be shown to the fans there's not much to get that excited over. Most of those other games will all be showing gameplay.

From the beginning, S-E planned and announced several "Final Fantasy 13" games, most with silly names. Some of which have since gotten other, possibly sillier names.

Final Fantasy 13
Final Fantasy Versus 13
Final Fantasy Agito 13 (renamed Final Fantasy Type-0)
Fabula Nova Crystallis (I think this may be the overall project name, and not a specific game. Like I said.... it's odd. But, hey - it's Square. :D)

They didn't even run a poll on this or anything, it goes by "most followed" on their website, no one knew it had anything to do with E3.

This list is irrelevant.

Bethesda said that they would only do a closed demonstration for the press. So why get excited about that?

But yeah... even the smallest bit of Skyrim info is worth more then reviews on all those other games combined.

Gamespot is the HQ of FPS fans as well as fans of sport titles. They certainly aren't mainstream but also not really into true WRPG. So games like The Witcher 2 and TES5:Skyrim aren't on the top of their list. This also doesn't say much goof for the future of TES. Oblivion sold incredibly well but then again it had little to no competition when it came out. Even Two Worlds 1 sold great considering its quality. I fear that games like Skyrim and The Witcher arent attracting a large enough audience. Bioware action trash like Dragon Age 2 is more popular. Let us not forget that even Fable II outsold Oblivion (comparison on xbox, due to Fable's exclusivity)...

Or Perhaps people at gamespot just dont want their Skyrim experience ruined by spoilers,.. I'll choose to believe that.

TW2 is coming out in like a week, why would it be at E3?

What is TW2? I assume that's not Two Worlds 2 as that's been out for ages.

I don't see why people are getting so surprised about this. As much as we may tell ourselves otherwise, the Elder Scrolls fanbase does not constitute the entire video game market, obviously, we're looking forward to Skyrim, we wouldn't be posting on the forum for a game we don't care about, after all, but not all gamers necessarily feel the same way. Now The Elder Scrolls is hardly an obscure series that only the so called "hardcoe RPG fans" care about, but I think there are still games with greater mainstream appeal out there, and if it's a mainstream gaming website, of course these games are more likely to make the list than Skyrim.

Some of those games on that list, such as the upcoming Final Fantasy title, are games which don't really interest me, others I'm interested in, but not as much as Skyrim, but I have no dillusions that just because Skyrim is my most anticipated upcoming title at this time that he same is true for everyone, and I don't think it really matters. This isn't, or shouldn't be, a popularity contest here, I don't need everyone to play the same games as me. Naturally, I want Skyrim too succeed, as this means more money for Bethesda's next project, but it doesn't necessarily need to beat every other game on every poll on websites that aren't dedicated to the Elder Scrolls to begin with.

Exactly. Skyrim at E3 is an invite only dog and pony show for the press, not something a fan would be excited about at all. I'm not surprised it didn't make the list. I am surprised Rage is there and Battlefield 3 isn't though. Not that these lists mean much, to each their own.

Well, at least Old Republic got #1. Go Sith Empire! The real good guys of Star Wars.

On topic: A shame that it didn't make it.
