Skyrim's Difficulty

Post » Sat Sep 24, 2011 11:30 am

From what I have heard there is no difficulty slider in Skyrim, now there are just difficulty settings, easy, medium, hard, etc. Some of the forum goers have been to Eurogamer Expo and played Skyrim and have said that there are five difficulty settings; and I think I figured out what they are. Well this is my guess:

Novice - Very Easy

Apprentice - Easy

Acolyte - Average/Medium

Expert - Hard

Master - Very Hard

Well that is what I think the five difficulty settings are; if you think that I might be wrong or have any other comments, please do not hesitate to comment.

I would assume along the lines of: very easy, enemies take, say, 150% damage, and players take 50% damage, whereas on very hard difficulty, enemies take 50% damage and in turn deal 150% to the player.

I just hope that turning up the difficulty won't mean you would have to slice your enemy with a butterknife.. What about actually making the game more difficult, and not just increase the health of the enemies? For example add more bandits than usual at a camp, stuff like that.

i dont think there will be a list to choose from.i couldnt understand why there wouldnt be a slider like usual. it makes the most sense for the game. it lets you choose your difficulty on the fly if need be rather than being locked into a difficulty that you cant handle and having to restart.
