Skyrim-directX

Hey guys I have a question. I have a dual core 2.0ghz and I want to play on high but I know I need a quad core so I know that but I have DirectX11 and I was wondering if skyrim works just as good on DirectX11 as it does on 9c

As far as I know, the game uses Directx 9. DirectX 11 comes with the new WIndows OS's along with DX10, 9 APIS. DirectX is an API that the program has to be written and compiled specifically to use.

New games such as Battlefield 4 use DirectX 11.

Skyrim doesn't use DirectX 11, it's a DirectX 9 game. And DirectX 11 include DirectX 9. So Skyrim will use DirectX 9 on your computer.
