Skyrim DLC...Not like Oblivion!

I consider SI as an expansion, I loved it.
KOTN was okay. It added new baddies and a new storyline.

I bought all of Oblivion's DLC the day they were released. I really enjoyed Shivering Isles, Knights of the Nine, and Mehrunes Razor.

Mehrunes Razor in particular, because it added my favorite artifact from previous games, and if you read all the notes, journals, and listened to the conversations, it had a really interesting story.

That being said, I'm glad the DLC for Skyrim is supposed to be more along the lines of Shivering Isles in terms of content.

As long as we don't see the likes of you know what, I'll be fine. Shivering Isles was great.

Expansions yes, DLC no. I am sick to death of shelling out dollars for quick mods that the community could have done. Ever since Horse Armor, I have seen an alarming marketing strategy where you get an astounding value, thanks in no small part to the modding community, followed by ripoff (withheld content) DLCs along with or soon after the original release. God, I miss when games were shipped complete and a sequel and/or an expansion was where efforts were focused.

On a more positive note, Shivering Isles was a very nice expansion for the price and I would buy more of something like that.

I hate items packs DLC....From Bioware's example I feel like they're just a way for some rich and lazy guys to get powerful items without having to do anything....Something like Mehrunes Razor is nice though....

Not BGS, but something like DA: Awakening would be pretty [censored]in',

On the Bethesda front, Old World Blues is the best DLC I've ever bought.

Horse armor was made fun of in the G4 demo, nothing more.

I would like dlc that is like shivering isles where its more like an expansion.
I also would not like dlc like fallout new vegas for example where you travel to a new area and do a few missions then the area becomes a bit redundant because theres not much to explore or do.

I hate the concept of DLC, and I really don't want to see it in any game ever to be honest. Not for as much money as they're asking these days.

Maybe they should try a choose-your-amount method and donate proceeds to a charity. Then people might be more willing to pay larger amounts. It works very well for the Humble Indie Bundle. But I doubt they'll do that.

Also, I prefer full expansions. Large ones like SI. All of those Home DLC's were ridiculous, "While in prison you received a letter that a rich uncle has died and left you a key to an underground lair where vampires can live happily! Go here, kill a couple skeletons and then buy furniture, because all of it disappeared."

I would love to see Skyrim DLC like Shivering Isles, which is to say, DLC with as much content as most full releases, but I don't want to see what passes for DLC nowadays, which is a few hours of gameplay for $10

I think that the Devs shouldn't be thinking about DLCs at all right now. The problem with most games is that the developers plan to add DLCs before they even finish the game, so they can make more money. Then you end up with companies coming out with DLCs after a few weeks of the game being released. They could have easily spent a little more time adding more things to the game and improve the overall experience of the game.

I do like how DLCs add some content to freshen stuff up after the game has been out for a few months.

The DLCs that added houses were cool, but I felt that they could have added more quest that go along with the house rather than just find the house and by stuff for it. My favorite DLCs were the ones that added questlines like Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles.

Quest packs would be an awesome idea. I'd love to just add about 5-10 different interesting sidequest lines to my game.

You act like you HAVE to shell out dollars for horse armor. Last time I checked it was never forced on the person to buy the DLC. Also, Shivering Isle is an expansion and DLC. I don't feel like going up to EB Games just because a few angry gamers didn't like DLC. I don't get how you wouldn't like DLC. You don't even have to get off your honey buns in order to get the expansions.

Horse armor was not worth the money, and it didn't add anything to the game. It was a rip off, pure and simple. Didn't matter if you bought it or not, it didn't stop it from being a rip off.

I want an inception quest, complete with planning, getting correct people for the mission, harvesting ingredients for potions, and, of course, 3 levels of dream where, if someone dies, they are sent into limbo and you have to find them and convince them nothing is real, i mean they kind of did it in Oblivion, but I would like it to be a massive quest, as a part of some large DLC
also, instead of horse armor, I think they're gonna add rideable dragons as the expensive add-on that doesn't bring much to the game, but i want it

Doesn't matter if it was a rip off. He acted like he HAD to download it. In plus, I wasn't trying to argue on whether it was a rip off or not. The horse armor actually added something to the game. It is called protection for the horses. Also, stop trying to act like your opinions are fact. Some people actually enjoyed the DLC and didn't think it was a rip off.

He didn't act like that at all. He said it's a rip off for the price, and it is. Are you seriously suggesting that Horse Armor is worth 3.5% of Oblivion? Even Bethesda admit that it is unpopular and aren't doing it again.

Stop acting like my opinions are fact? Where is the line between opinion and fact? The opinion that the Nazi regime was a bad idea would be widely regarded to be a fact, would it not?

Please. The majority of the gaming community thought that Horse armor was a meager plug in. Especially the gaming mags.

This is what he said:

Acting like he had to buy something like that. Also, he didn't stop to think about the console players. Since it is hard to find mods like that for consoles. I wasn't suggesting that the Horse armor is worth 3.5% of Oblivion but other people think it does. Something rip-off is a subjective viewpoint made by one's opinion.

What does a opinion about a game content being a rip-off have anything to do with Nazi's? There is a line between a opinion and a fact. Opinion: I like the color red. Fact: The color red is red.
Please. The majority of the gaming community thought that Horse armor was a meager plug in. Especially the gaming mags.

And? I am confused what you are getting at. Are you trying to say that because the majority of the people think that way it makes it fact? Well, then I can say that majority of the people who think Justin Bieber is the best and magazine says that too that means it is fact, right?

You are too literal and miss the point of what he is saying. No, the thing about Nazi's has nothing to do with game content. It does have something to do with opinion vs fact. Stop being literal.

No. The majority of critics who have that opinion makes it a fact. Sure, Justin Bieber is a popular musician. But how old are the people who think that he is a good musician, on average? And which magazines are those that state that opinion?
