Skyrim - DLC Suggestion

Post » Fri Dec 16, 2011 7:51 pm

An ideas for DLC. If possible, please make a massive DLC of morrowind or Cyrodil, or both :-D

That would be unimaginably perfect. Bringing back, and perfecting two older elder scrolls maps, with the new game engine and graphic. As well as a plot for morrowind and Cyrodil after the events that have already transpired in the elder scrolls world.

This idea is new and original.

Sometimes I wonder if it's the same person with different accounts that makes these threads. Because it can't possibly be this many people coming up with the same idea and thinking "Hey, I bet no one ever thought of this" and come here posting the same thing over and over.

News flash; Lots of people liked Morrowind and Oblivion.

Ok so not really news but why is it so shocking that people who liked them would like to see elements of them in this new one? I personally would love an Oblivion crisis DLC for Skyrim, find and closing those gates was the main reason I spent so much time playing Oblivion in the first place. There just isnt anything in this game atm with the same amount of time sinking.

Crafting items and houses can be thrown in the trash.

Something sort of like operation anchorage where you go back in time and somehow participate in the great war. Something like the final battle in imperial city or something.

I'd like at least DLC that adds some meaty content to Skyrim (like my sig says). I'm loving Skyrim and I think it has huge potential for even more.

Some more factions (and I see lots of potential ones - Thalmor, Forsworn, Vampire, Necromancer, Silver Hand, East Empire Company etc). Quests and the like of course. Would love to see some more content for vampires and giants. Plus things to spend you gold on at high levels (of wealth) - lots of lists and threads around with the kind of stuff I am thinking of.

But for DLC that takes place outside of Skyrim I would like to see a new place, but I wouldn't be upset if we got to visit Morrowind again. It's changed a lot since we were last there (and I am sure there are plenty of launching points in Skyrim for such a trip - with all the Dunmer refugees it wouldn't be hard to come up with a reason or two to make the journey)..

This is the first time I've ever posted a topic in here, so no I'm not spamming this idea at all, maybe alot of people would like to see a revamped morrowind, after the red mountain explosion. Cyrodil I wouldnt care as much about. But morrowind as a dlc could basically be another game, and the regular xbox version had a TON of creativity in design and plot. For example, the tree cities of tel vos, tel mora, etc., balmora's unique design, vivec city, SOLSTHEIM, Pelagiad, Ald Ruhn, etc. I could go on forever describing the unique beauty of morrowind. Now imagine all that in better graphics, a new gaming system, and a new plot as well as change to the environment, due to the red mountain explosion. Your mistaken if you're thinking it will be the same as morrowind's plot, graphics, and gameplay from the last game.

Yeah, usually the people who think, "Hey, nobody ever thought of this" do not have particularly unique ideas...

What you are suggesting is Elder Scrolls VI: Morrowind....

The great thing about Morrowind and Cyrodil is if you ever wanna visit them you can. Just go play their respective games.

Heres a DLC idea for you; Adrinne Avenicci died, and her husband Ulfberth War-Bear says that he must buy all his goods from the Khajiit mechants because he cannot smith worth a damn. Now Im a master smith, why can't I hook it up for him, maybe go 50-50 on the profits.

This. So much. At most, a mini-DLC where you're in the Imperial City is one thing. I don't want to rehash all the same old factions though.

For the big stuff, we're probably already committed to Elyswyr, Valenwood, and Summerset Isle.

Beth would be a fool to make an entire province a DLC. No, I highly doubt that would happen.

Why do you think so?

Incidentally, has anyone walked all the way southeast?
There's this big gateway you can clearly see out of but you can't even walk into it. Looks suspiciously like a path to an expansion. But Morrowind is in that direction, so...

They should make a DLC where you get to learn the secrets of the dwarves/dwemer.
Gosh I hope nobody posted that in thsi thread, I dont want to sound like a broken record.

OR a DLC in Cyrodiil where you take back the Imperial City and the rest of the province from the Thalmor, or go to Morrowind and help the Dunmer live through the red mountain crysis xD

Cyrodiil and Morrowind both have landmasses outside of skyrim. 2 DLC possibilities. Plus 2 substories with the thalmor taking Cyrodiil and the Imperial City and the Dark Elves escaping morrowind because of Red Mountain erupting or whatever the crysis was/

Honestly, that seems like an awful idea. I've already played those games, why would I want to go back? I doubt much has changed there.

I say we go somewhere new, perhaps an island above Skyrim that we don't know about yet. The island could be HUGE, with a complete storyline of its own.

That is lore-breaking; Mehrunes Dagon is forever barred from entering Tamriel or opening gates to his realm due to the ending of TESIV:Oblivion

First of all, ALOT has happened in Cyrodiil since the Oblivion Crysis. The dark brotherhood was destroyed, the blades were owned up by the Thalmor, and on top of that, the Thalmor took over the Imperial Legion and basically all of Cyrodiil. I haven't done enough quest to learn anymore, but im positive more has happened. AND In Morrowind, Red Mountain Erupted, the Dark Elves have had to escape and there is a crysis happening there to. Possibly Deadra! Both the provinces have ALOT of potential for a DLC because there substories are actually quite interesting. And to put the cherry on the cake, quite ALOT of NPCS mention the disappearance of the Dwarves and how important Dwemer ruins are. Another potential DLC

And randomly creating a "HUGE" island north of Skyrim would be silly and break the lore of the province and tamriel. Silly Idea

CASE CLOSED!

(sorry, always wanted to say that)

Places we've never been to yet. As much as I'd like to revisit some places, I only have so many years to live. So I'd rather Bethesda focus on completely new experiences.

One quest where you go to Imperial City? Like to kill somebody? Imagine this, if you already beat the Dark Brotherhood:

Spoiler
Armaund: Now go, travel to the Imperial City and assassinate the emperor!
