The "injury" exists from a combination of waiting for Fallout 3's DLC, discovering the terrible, rip-off quality of Fallout 3's DLC, hearing about another delay for New Vegas' DLC, only ever hearing about how well-optimized the 360 version of Skyrim is, only ever seeing the 360 version of Skyrim, and completely disregarding any potential to acknowledge, well, anything about the PS3 version of Skyrim. I don't even feel as if this company even considers me a part of their fanbase, at times, based on my platform. They direct pretty much everything at the 360.

Actually i have to agree with you in there. My ps3 version of oblivion is such a stinking pack of shovelware, that i had to buy the PC version to enjoy the game properly.

Competition? From those two series? I doubt it. They should make plenty of money off of Skyrim itself. What is the explanation for other companies that seemingly reject any platform favoritism?

Get the teen crowd to buy Skyrim, they usually only have enough to buy 1 game anyway. Better towards Skyrim than those two.

I don't think people understand that this has little to do with Bethesda, at all. It's Microsoft offering them a lot of money, and they are taking it, as well they should.

Bethesda is a business. What do businesses do? They make money.

Of course it does, it's entirely Bethesda's decision as to whether or not they continue to favour the Xbox.

don't count on that if the quality in performance of fallout 3 DLC is to be any indicative.

Sorry, not sure what is is I shouldn't count on? Would you please clarify?

Edit: Oh I see you bolded part of my response (difficult to see for me somteimes). Well, I didn't put a timeframe for working out of bugs and patches, just that I would be playing until such had been worked out and were available, whenever that might be. :)

You know what they should do?

Breach the agreement and release Horse Armour for the PS3 and PC only, then release it to the XBOX months later.

After the first 30 days we'll get the first piece of DLC, while 360 gets the second. Then after another 30 days, PS3/PC get the 2nd piece of DLC. It's not that 360 gets the first 2 pieces before anyone gets either.

It's called "cumulative". Sheesh.
@Sneakmaster, yes, they favor the Xbox. I favor the Xbox. Their fans favor the Xbox, in the majority. The Xbox is their highest selling venue. What's your point? Why wouldn't they cater to that? I swear, it's like you people don't know what the word "marketing" means.

It happens.

PC users get user made content and much better visuals.

PS3 users get Dark Souls (so damn jelly).

And 360 users get some DLC 30 days earlier.

We also got Dark Souls on the 360.

I don't believe that for a second.

For the first DLC/Expansion Beth produce it will be released on the X-box, then 1 month later it will be available for PS3/PC. Same for the Second they produce.

Buy Skyrim at release. Play the hell out of it. Don't buy any DLC. Play the hell out of it with different characters. Buy Game of the Year. Play the hell out of it.
It's not the best plan ever, but it's my plan, and I'm sticking to it.

DLCs for non 360 platforms are notoriously buggy, and delayed. The PS3 gets the worst of this.

They don't have to favour anyone, they could release DLC for both platforms simultaneously. But they won't.

Its disappointing for sure, but I just buy the GOTY eventually anyways. Its not entirely Beth's fault, they are a company afterall, they work to make money.

I just wish Sony would do something similar.

the ps3 fallout 3 DLCs were shoddy ports from the xbox360 version, especially point lookout which had Horrendous framerate, it lagged and freezed frequently.

Microsoft just paid them so that a customer with a ps3 and xbox would have a reason to buy Skyrim for xbox instead. Microsoft did the same for Call of Duty and it actually worked. The numbers for the xbox version were better than the Sony version. This was just a smart buisness decision for Microsoft and Bethesda. Sony did the same thing with Portal too. Its just how the game industry works.

That's exactly what I said. 360 doesn't get the first 2 before PS3/PC gets either.

Battlefield games are better on PC, modern CoD games are best on console. Also, the idea that Bethesda is trying to compete with those top dogs and not make a complex RPG with a smaller group of devoted fans is utterly rediculous considering the fact that it would require them to make their games even more streamlined than they already have, making just half assed CoD clones with swords and magic.
