I can wait as I'll get it eventually, and I'm sure Bethesda will put the money from Microsoft to good use.

Also, as a PC player I'll have enough to do with all the mods that's gonna be out there by that time.

does DLC for consoles eventually go on sale?

I'm on PC and I noticed that the Steam DLC prices for most games eventually drop down to the sub $5 range if you keep an eye on it. So I usually wait to get DLC until quite a while later anyways. (For example, recently the New Vegas DLC were offered included in the QuakeCon pack)

I don't understand why are they already making dlc, if they have extra time they should perfect skyrim by putting arenas and werewolves! Not making dlc when the game doesnt even come out for three months:(

Sony don't really do sales.

But at least access to their network is free.

When I said I hoped for something pertaining to my version, I didn't exactly have it not getting DLC (or at least not for a few months) in mind. I... don't know what to say. Bethesda... I've had this discussion on these forums at least twice before (can't remember if I ever made comments on Oblivion's DLC, but I most certainly did for Fallout 3's and New Vegas's DLC) and those times I was just plain angry. Now, I'm just disappointed. It's not good enough to only make the game all it could be on Microsoft's console and then just port it over to the others while still only showing the version running on Microsoft's console, but you've confirmed this, yet again. I want to be angry... but I've just got this sinking feeling in my chest and it may just be because I'm tired, but I could swear I feel my eyes on the verge of watering. Although I may not be able to say it with as much passion as I would like, I'm not buying this DLC. For that matter, I'm going to even have to highly reconsider purchasing Skyrim. I don't need it. I've been playing a great game... a wonderful game made by people that care about my concerns and my place as a consumer and it's called Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Early October will see the release of Dark Souls which is also being made by people that care. There are plenty more following that. Among multiplatform games, Skyrim is actually the oddball in its unfairly strong attachment to the 360 platform and I'm not angry, I just give up. I don't need to suffer any of this and I refuse to.

Oh boy here we go again with the whiners and complainers. First of all, what are you buying Skyrim for? Are you buying it for the game or DLC?

It has happened for Oblivion, Fallout 3 and one DLC for New Vegas. You should be use to this by now? People are just complaining for complaining sakes now. This is nothing new. I don't mean the news that Skyrim DLC will be 360 exclusive first, but that the 360 gets the DLC before other platforms.

I find it funny. Really funny. People will defend Steam like crazy saying if you want to play on PC you need Steam. So if you want DLC right away you need Xbox Live.

Second of all, to the people who say that Microsoft or Bethesda will not be getting any of their money, do you think they care? Really come on. How much is Bethesda getting for having Microsoft being exclusive first? So Bethesda is not getting your $10 or what not. Big deal, they got their Hundreds of thousands of dollars already, so saying they will not get your money, is a laugh for them. They already have their much more money than they would EVER get from making not exclusive.

Third, it's so funny how poeple will complain really loudly and alot, but still buy the game, supporting Bethesda anyways. So basically it's a moot point. It's called buisness. You don't like it, don't buy it. If you buy it, then don't complain. You can say how you don't like it, but most people don't do that, instead of talking about it, they whine and complain and then it just comes on deaf ears.

I say it's good that the 360 gets the exclusives. Maybe the PC industry and Sony will finally wisen up and do something about it so it doesn't happen and make their product better.

I love it when complainers complain about complainers.

Such sweet hypocrisy.

Still seems like the PC and Xbox versions should release at the same time.... after all, it's all Microsoft right? It's not like this game runs on a mac (or did I miss something?) I think it's kind of lame that exclusives like this exist, but if I were a game company offered lots of cash I would do the same thing. I appreciate the extra time for bug fixing, I don't appreciate the month spent dodging spoilers.

And this is a big deal because, what the 360 gets the 1st version, a version that will have partial bug problems or glitches. Let the 360 be the guinea pig for the bad experiment.

Well planning DLC and making it are two different things. Often DLC is made *after* the game has gone gold, and has been rated. They can't add anything more to the game at that point (literally can't, it's not allowed), so people work on DLC in that time.

This reminds me of Morrowind. Morrowind was suppose to be released at the same time on the original Xbox and PC. Then it got delayed for Both platforms. Then it got released on PC but not Xbox. Us Xbox users had to wait 6 Months. Yeah it svcked to wait but we finally got it. Then the PC got expansions, 2 expansions and patches while the Xbox got nothing. Then the Xbox finally got the GotY version. Yeah it svcked we had to wait, but at least we got it.

So what I am trying to say, is yes it svcks waiting when one platform gets something and the other platform(s) don't, but eventually you will get it and get to play it.

The other alternative is not getting it at all. Alot of people are up in arms about this, but really, is it that bad to wait 30 days or 2 months? It's not that bad, you will get the DLC eventually.

Just as a side note, where are all the posts about Fable being exclusive on the Xbox or 360 first and then waiting a complet year before being ported to PC. How come nobody is up in arms for that? :P

I may be wrong but I think they do have sales sometimes? I bought all the Red Dead Redemption DLC for 10 dollars a few weeks ago? Granted I don't know normal console pricing, but I was under the impression that stuff was worth more than 10 dollars normally. I got that undead pack and all the others for that. I think it was some kinda week or weekend sale, but I may be wrong.

I don't really care about getting the DLC late, it's the principle of the thing that annoys me. If you're going to release a game across platforms that supposedly had the same amount of effort being put into each version, wouldn't it make sense to release any future content the same way? Fallout 3 was a disaster, (I was on Ps3) and I was hoping that Obsidian would learn from Bethesda's mistakes; which they did to some degree. But to see this happening with Skyrim, for yet another game, is maddening, especially now that I'm on PC.

If Bethesda isn't going to release content universally across platforms at the same level of quality as the 360 version, I'm not sure they deserve full price for it. (Don't put words in my mouth. I'm not implying pirating it.)

While I love Bethesda's games, the way they treat the other two thirds of their customers is really making me lose faith.

So how come it's ok for Sony to do this? They have done this many times. Why is everyone harping on Bethesda and Microsoft? It's not that bad. 30 days. With Sony's exclusivity, it's Sony only no other platform. So Bethesda is doing a good thing, for timed only and not 360 Only. To me that is showing thier fans and customers respect.

I don't mind waiting for DLC, on the bright side xbox gets all the bugs first and the PS3 gets the fixed version :) there's always a silver lining.

EDIT: Before anyone yells at me just trying to be a bit optimistic ;) , and I haven't played any of the FO3 DLC I was unaware it was buggy apologies :sadvaultboy:

That's consolization for ya, DLC is a racket anyway. I'll do the same thing I did for FNV, buy the DLC when its on sale for 3 bucks each during the steam sales.

Truly don't understand the business world at all. You got to have trade offs in this world. You get free PSN but because of that Sony doesn't put in the extra money towards getting time or regular exclusives for their console. 360 users pay 60 dollars to live every year for this very reason. Game developers got to make money too
