Skyrim DLC to be on Xbox360 first

I really despise MS and their "exclusive" DLC deals.

 I shall probably just wait until it all comes out on disc like KotN came with all the small DLC except the Fighter's Stronghold.

I feel a little bad for the PS3, honestly. They always seem left out, kind of :sadvaultboy:

Who is to blame here? Sony doesn't give Bethesda any incentive to do so. Sony does this what Microsoft does as well. They have exclusive games and some games that are cross platform, some of the DLC is PS3 exclusive as well.

If PS3 users have any problems with this at all, they should be complaining to Sony, not Bethesda or Microsoft. It's called buisness. It's called competition. This way Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo become better, trying to outdo each other. So far Microsoft is doing it, but Sony just seems to be sitting in the shadows. So the way I see it, it's Sony who spits in the face of their consumers not Microsoft. Microsoft gives it's consumers a reason to buy their products. One of them is getting DLC first before other platforms.

I don't know if Xbox 360 DLC ever go on sale, but one advantage of PC DLC now that Skyrim is going with Steamworks is that Steam tends to offer discounts on DLC as well when a game goes on sale. The New Vegas DLC were 50% off earlier.

Yeah XBL has the Deal of the Week, but I thinks it's just completly random what gets put on there. They also have sales on old content when a sequel or new game in that franchise is near release, like how the Games on Demand downloadable Gears of War 1 & 2 are half off because Gears 3 is so close to realese

I really hope this isn't a sign for the PS3 to be left out again. PC will get it any way, but the ignorance for PS3 over the last years really makes me a bit angry.

What the bloody [censored]?! :banghead:

If that is true, the 3rd DLC better be a complete DX11 support pack with tessellation and [censored].

Not too bothered. Didnt really wanna pay £8 for buggy horse armour DLC I'd rather download free mods the PC community has created. Might have a go at it myself.

If gamesas wanna play the "favourites" game then so will I :)

I am buying a copy of skyrim for a good friend of mine. His first TES and he will be playing it on PS3. I feel kinda bad for him and the other PS3 users. Sure the PC has to wait before it gets official DLC but the unofficial DLC will probably be out the first week. So PC people will have plenty to do during the wait. The PS3 players seem to always be getting screwed like this.

snip

Oh maybe for you, but for me, 360 and PS3 is greater than the PC for so many reasons. For me the 360 is better. No need to install. no need for Steam. No need for interent connection. No need to mess with drivers, just put DVD in and play. So trying to make this a Vs thread is not good. No platform is better than the other over all. A platform is only better than the other for each individual person, but to say one platform is better than another is simply not true.

Preorder bonuses hurt gamers more. It means they purposely cut content from the game and sell it at full price. With DLC, it's additional content created after the main game is completed.

Good point, agree :)

In terms of hardware though, PC is obviously better. But in terms on a platform preference in general, it's exactly as you say.

A disgusting practice, not that I have any interest in paid DLC when we have mods on PC, but still, have some respect for your customers.

And I believe they said they weren't going to do any pre-order bonuses. Thank god.

I can't believe this, this is like a massive [censored] slap. Why am I getting persecuted for not having an xbox? It doesn't make me want to go out and get one it makes me hate Microsoft even more than i already do. snip but I'm going to have to play on PS3. This rant isn't really making sense but the generally point is that I'm pissed off with this.

Pre-order bonuses are pretty much just thank-yous from the store. While it is kinda dumb that I can't have both Commando Dom and Mechanic Baird, my loyalty lies with Gamestop, not Best-Buy (or wal-mart, don't remember), so they give me Commando Dom, which I prefer. I used Gears of War 3 as an example because it was the first I could think of

Exclusivity deals only hurt gamers. I don't care how much money MS is given them it's still pretty lame.

This is interesting. How does this hurt gamers? This is competition. This is good.

Basically you buy on PC for better graphics, smoother play (if your rig can handle it) Mods, and using a key board and mouse if that is your style.

You buy on 360 or PS3 if that is your platform of choice. So since the PS3 has better hardware than the 360 (no debate here it is better technology) Microsoft does what it can to make the 360 better than the PS3. That would be time exclusives for the DLC.

So now it's Sony's turn to do something, but again, they sit in the corner doing nothing. They could have gone to Bethesda for exclusive DLC, but as of now, we know they have not. So it's you get the PC because you get Mods, better graphics, keyboard and mouse, 360 for time period DLC, or platform of choice and PS3 because that is your platform of choice.

So it's all buisness.

I'm a 360 owner and all I can really say is who cares? I mean sure you don't get it first but that's usually a good thing the 360 players get all the bugs/glitches then the rest get a polished piece when it comes out. Plus if this was an actual exclusive like the PS3 usually gets :banghead: then I would be mad. (Batman, Saints Row 3, Bioshock, ect) all head PS3 only added content so compared to that us getting the DLC a month early isn't anything to be mad about or even to say something like *** microsoft..

What a bunch of crap. What is with Beths obsession with the 360 anyway? Microsoft paying them money more like. Remember when Pete said that the game will be released on "Pc, Xbox, and, uh 360" on the Bulletproof radio interview? FAIL!

Well, there is the imitation burlap map, but that's not in game content so they're still good

As a PC Gamer I don't really care that much. The DLC in games have been pretty forgettable and easily eclipsed by mods.
