Meh, even though I'm on the PC that doesn't bother me too much. It is nice that they noted it would be at least "30 days before it's available anywhere else," rather than having to keep mum about the possibility of it coming to other platforms.

Microsoft only goes to bat for 1 of its platforms: XB360.

When Microsoft wheels and deals like that, I make a deal too. If I am interested in the DLC, I WILL NOT buy it until it is 50% off.

If you want to force me to wait for DLC, fine, but you won't get nowhere near MSRP out of me for doing so.

I was trying to decide between PS3 or 360 but i think this is the beggining of "Xbox gets content 1st" story, like in Oblivion

I don't care that much, even though I'm a PC user. If it gives Bethesda more money from Microsoft, which it obviously does, then good :)
30 days isn't long.

However, the BAD thing is that they said "DLC packs"

I WANT MA EXPANSION PACK :swear:

Well that svcks. Why should PC and PS3 gamers have to wait a month to get access to DLC? Thats just stupid...

I wish BSG would just tell Mircosoft to piss off. PS3 owners and PC gamers should not have to wait for DLC just because mircosoft has a tantrum.

If Bethesda's working on DLC, then development must be wrapping up on Skyrim and they are entering beta. Since the content developers have nothing else to do, they are put to work on the DLC.

An expansion is still DLC, because it's content.... and your downloading it. I understand your fear, but the reporter just probably wasn't thinking of clariying what kind] of DLC they are.

Well I remember that the first New Vegas DLC had and caused all sorts of bugs. Of course Obsidian is known for bugging things up, but either way the DLCs are going to be less buggy when they come to PC.

Just looking at the bright side here. :P

DLC killed the expansion pack, and got away with it

Anyway, unsurprising. This happened with Fallout 3 and New Vegas, and they have stated XBox 360 has their biggest buyer share. Atleast i think they did?

More like FO3, with Oblivion the game itself wasn't ported to the PS3 until well after the initial PC/XBox360 release - and when it arrived it was bundled with extra content.

With FO3 the PS3 version was released at the same time as the others but the DLC was delayed.

Yep, MS probably paid quite a lot for the exclusive rights and that money helps fund more content. I'm OK waiting a bit longer for the first few DLC if it means I get more of them. It also means that once DLC start arriving there's less of a gap, XBox 360 users will probably end up with a long period between DLC #2 and #3.

True enough, but IMO its a bit different. In this case we know they're coming to all platforms but we dunno when. Mods coming to consoles hasn't been announced, and at the minute isn't legal so not like people should be holding their breath for it anyways  but anyways lets get back on topic.

The DLC packs will be bigger than Fallout 3 DLC but smaller than Shivering Isles.
