I haven't played skyrim for about a month now, and in that time I have downloaded and installed Morrowind, and Oblivion (sale on steam). Just today I decided to play Skyrim while the servers were down for one of the MMO's that I play. I come to find out Skyrim will no longer run from the SKSE launcher or from the regular .exe file. I have heavily modded my game but I use the Nexus Mod Manager, any idea as to what is causing this problem?

I really don't know anything else other than that it won't start, and I get the "Skyrim is not responding" message. How else would you like me to diagnose the problem?

Try this, when taking a break from the game, sometimes people have to delete the INI and Prefs files in My Games/Skyrim and let them game create new ones.

Also, your most recent save could have been corrupted, so delete or archive that and see if the game launches.
