For the advlt players (we're almost all advlts here):

So you hear in the game how all the warriors basically drink and fight, so I decided to finish my bottle of vodka while playing my high level 40's Altmer two-handed swordsman and destruction guy and it was a blast,

since it was only my second time of really exploring Solstheim in depth, it was like I was playing the game a new, especially with all the trippy mushrooms and weird creatures. Now I know what the Nords were talking about milk-drinkers. And the victories felt more worth it even though I have high damage greatswords on legendary and weakness to magic spells / destruction potions but still taking a lot of damage, so playing it relaxed but not too relaxed was great.

Well since my character is always drinking alcohol, I guess you can call it a roleplaying method. I actually got another bottle of vodka next to me in the table. I'm not an alcoholic, once I touch alcohol, the next day I feel like I don't want to touch for at least a month and then I do, sometimes many months.

Does the kitty want some skooma? haha

I was playing an Altmer, but my other Khajiit character eats large amounts of moon sugar and skooma like twice a day. So I imagine he has at least a good buzz 24/7.

I see... so you aren't just "getting drunk and playing video games" you are role playing as an drunken warrior?

I do think it is a shame that there were no real drug effects in the game. For example, it would be cool if your character started to stagger around with blurry vision, gta4 style, while towns people make rude comments.

I was pretty drunk and my vision was slightly blurred but not by much. Maybe I didn't drink enough? I think the last time I had real blurred vision was after drinking 16 beers at a party a few years ago, but then I just ended up throwing up on myself which was disgusting.

...hmm. If I drank a bottle of wine, ale or mead every time my character does, I would soon not be able to play at all. He always has something to drink with his dinner, and since the in-game days go by so fast...

I'm glad I don't have to eat every time he does.

Meh, it's not that hard playing drunk at all.....just fun as hell. How much off your brain do you need to block, swing, bash, ice spear, and chug potions through hotkeys.

I used to play new vegas with something akin to "dead is dead" rules, and I remember getting really drunk and I was swimming down this river near the legion camp down to where the deathclaw nest was. I remember thinking to myself "man, this really isn't a good idea"... lol.
