A perfect score along with games such as Final Fantasy XII?! The game where you got to play a "sky pirate" in a single-player mmo world? Don't get me wrong it was a lot of fun, but I don't think anybody would call FF XII perfect. Nor would I call Skyrim perfect either. I'm curious what their criteria for scoring a game are.

Also, this should be moved to general

And why is this an issue with the PC version of Skyrim?

U must go with this news in GENERAL, not the technical forum. I think moderators must close and delete this thread

Wow. I've heard that only A FEW games actually receive such score in Famitsu. Nice one, Skyrim :).

Apparently Famitsu does not care for bugs.

Sorry Famitsu, the version of the game I'm playing has too many game-breaking bugs that should have been weeded out MONTHS ago. If you send me the copy of the game you're playing and it doesn't have game-breakers in it, perhaps I'll re-think the score I might give.

until then, Famitsu, you're on my "LOL those guys call themselves..." list.

-218 hours in and the game-breakers can't be over-looked any longer for me.

123.8 hours and not a game breaking bug in sight.

Don't think this is a 40/40 game, though, even if it is the first Bethesda game I've loved since Morrowind.

I must ask, are you playing the game with the guidebook sitting in your lap?

Famitsu is Japan's IGN. They'll give big marks to big games that don't really deserve that kind of credit. They won't admit having horrible bug and issues and gamers will trust them buy and then rage.
Then, they'll release articles about the bugs.

So I'm gonna call bribe on that one...

Here, 90 hours, and no game-breaking bug yet.

I'd give Daggerfall a higher mark than every other game mentioned and it has all sorts of bugs. Skyrim can have a pass from me because despite everything it's the least buggy TES game I've played and just as fun as any of them.

Idk why people are complaining. It's a bethesda game. Don't get me wrong, great company and game, but they always had bugs on release. I don't even think there is a game breaking bug. Just a few annoyances.

That's what honeyside looks like for me. All the time. That's the biggest bug I've seen in the game so far, and I have 80 hours played.

Famitsu gave Final Fantasy XIII 39/40 when it should have been 10/40 at most. That undermined their credibility with me forever.

Skyrim deserves no more than a 30/40, and that's grading them with the curve AND giving them the "A" for effort.
